Great little chair
This is the second time I've bought this chair. The first time I initially bought it for my kindergartner in 2021 since he was spending a significant amount of time on Zoom. However, the ability to spin was too distracting so we went back to a dining room chair. That's when I learned it's the perfect sized chair for me. I'm 5'3" and hadn't thought I was short enough to need a special chair, though I do wear petite sizes, but it's so much more comfortable than the regular office chair I had before. I work from home and used this chair constantly. I got the grey fabric option and have had no issues with the upholstery. A couple of months ago one of the plastic wheels broke and I kept meaning to replace them but I waited too long and discovered that continuing to sit in the chair with a broken wheel bent it in a weird way that can't be fixed. (Though, I did not discover this until I had bought replacement wheels and installed them. At least it was relatively easy and I'll know for next time.) I was delighted to see I could just re-order the same chair again. At this point, there might be better chairs out there but I knew this one worked for me. Assembly is really easy. It's just three parts you put together, no need for tools, and an optional foot rest to snap on. The chair itself does not have a lot of adjustment options. The chair height can be changed and you can move the seat forward and backwards but that's it. You cannot adjust the chair arms or the back in any way. I'd knock off a half star for lack of adjustment if I could. However, it fits me fine. I use it with an adjustable height desk set at 28" so I don't know if it'd be too short for me with a standard height desk. I have the chair adjusted to about 1/4" from its maximum height so it couldn't go up much taller.

Updated on 04/12/20 - Exceptional Quality! You'll Love It!
What we liked was everything. Took as long to open the box and get out the parts as it took to put the chair together. About 2 minutes. No tools. It's not leather, it's better. Appears to be a modern water resistant fabric on the seat and back. Well padded. Extremely comfortable. The arm rests aren't padded, but padded rests always became a mess. They were usually padded vinyl and the vinyl would crack and peel, becoming a mess. Smooth, padded vinyl is comfortable; cracked, peeling vinyl is not. My cousin is very short; 4' 8". This is the first chair she's been able to sit in and place her feet on the floor in her life. She's used a special foot rest her former employer purchased for her 30 yrs ago to get some relief from back pain caused by her feet hanging unsupported. We pushed back the seat and she can sit back in the chair. Her lower back is up against the lumbar swell, giving her support; a first. She doesn't have to scoot forward to get her feet on the floor, they touch naturally. We've purchased chairs that 'said' they were designed for short people before. They listed in their specs that seat height was as low as 14 1/2". She needs 14" - 14 1/2". They all turned out to be 15 1/2" to 17", and she never was able to be comfortable without the work footrest. With this chair, she's really comfortable, almost totally so, for the first time in her life. We had hoped that the child's foot rest would work for her, but for once her legs are too long. That's the closest we can come to a negative comment about the Sit-rite chair. If you're small in stature, petite, tiny or short or any other word for diminutive, buy this chair. Doubt you'll be disappointed. Update: Liked it soooooooooo much, we purchased a second chair. Now she has a chair at her computer desk and at the table so she can eat in comfort too. In her 75 years, these are the only chairs that have allowed her to sit back, get support for her back and still allow her feet to touch the floor, a godsend for her. As I said before, takes longer to open the box and unpack the parts (5), than it does to assemble the chair.

get ready for online school
Bought this chair to outfit my rising kindergarten student for home school. Assembly was super easy 5 minutes. The chair is very high quality and will not easily break. Back support is excellent, cushion level is very plush the color is as pictured, we got the blue. The arms do not move up/down which is good for less distraction. The construction is very sturdy. The leg rest is very appropriate for his age and can be easily removed for when he is older. It also comes with locks for the wheels which the child can't easily remove. This chair will definitely increase my son's concentration and ability to sit for his upcoming online lessons. The range of up/down movement is a little shorter than I had expected; He is very tall and it should work for kids up to 5 feet max, about when my son is 14 years. It would not likely work for a teenager unless you have a smaller teen. Overall I highly recommend this splurge item for a desk setup for your kids at home. UPDATE: click down hard for the leg rest at bottom to remain stable

UPDATE! This chair is great, but a few minor changes would make it perfect! CHANGES MADE-PERFECT NOW
UPDATE: I found arm pads made for gamers/wheelchairs that velcroe onto the arms that are soft and cushioned. Hereon Amazon. They make this chair perfect for me now! The brand that worked best for me is LargeLeaf armrest cushioned pads. I am "almost 5'2"". I have neer fit it normal size office chairs. I keep buying different ones and some very pricey ones at that. But I just don't fit so my back bothers me a lot. This is just perfect size overall for me. -why not 5 stars? The arms are not adjustable and so they are low for an adult size person. I wish they went about 2" higher some way, as an adjustment. The foot rest is not at the best place for me (too high) so I have to still use a foot stool under the desk. I wish there was another height adjustment for this. What I love: The fabric is comfortable and the seat size is perfect for a short adult as well as probably for many children The back is very supportive and comfortable for long work hours. The company sent a nice note after to me and seems to genuinely be interested in your satisfaction. If they ever come up with an "add-on" that clamps onto the arms PLEASE CONTACT ME! I can live with the other items that are not great for me personally, but this is something that is bothering me. It messes with posture.

Nice and comfortable
I am an adult female who is 4'11 so I needed a chair that would offer support and somewhere to put my feet. The chair is really small which is expected since it is for children. I fit in nicely in the chair and my feet sit comfortably on the footrest. My only issue with the chair is that it has very little range for going up and down (about an inch and a half). I was hoping to be able to lift the chair more and have the footrest go up with it. If you are looking for a comfortable chair for an actual child and not a very short adult, this chair is definitely a good pick.

If you're 4'10" (147 cm) or shorter, this chair is great -- with some caveats.
======== 7/7/2019 EDITED REVIEW ======== Make sure this chair will work for you before ordering. The adjustable seat height and seat depth features are perfect for short people like me, but there are a few things people should be aware of before purchasing. The arms come up quite high on this chair, which may make it hard to scoot your chair under a table/desk. At the *lowest* setting, the chair is ~22" high with wheels. You will need at *least* ~2.75" clearance for it to slide under. WITHOUT wheels, it is 20" high and you'll need at *least* ~0.75" clearance. Updated Pros: - The adjustable seat works just as I need it to. - I can adjust the chair height low enough for my feet to touch the ground. - Since my posture is better overall, my hips don't hurt like they used to. - At this price point, the chair is still quite good, considering that most adjustable chairs cost much more. Updated Cons: - I have had to remove the wheels and the armrests to make this fit under my desk, which is annoying. - While the back of the chair is at an average height, I feel like it curves too far out. I feel like I am somehow leaning backward which does not offer support for my shoulders or neck. - The lumbar support and seat could use a bit more cushioning. Other Comments: - The seat lock only works for one setting, so it will sometimes move if you pull the chair forward. It is easy to slide back into place. It only happens to me very rarely, so I don't consider this a con. - Due to this chair's design, it is *really* hard to add any sort of additional cushioning for the back. I am trying to find a way to attach or add a backrest so I don't feel like I'm leaning too far backward, but haven't had any luck. I will update again if anything changes. ======== PREVIOUS REVIEW 25/04/2019 ======== Just got this chair and assembled it. It really was quite easy. The footrest is meant to snap onto the chair, so you have to apply a lot of pressure. PROS: - The lumbar support is amazing compared to my old Staples office chair. - My bony hips have actual support in this chair, which I doubted was possible until now. - In my old chair, it was was hard to use the stool I have to put my feet up. In this new chair, it is much easier. The foot rest is nice also. - I can put my feet flat on the floor with the lowest height setting, it's not too low or awkward feeling. - The adjustable seat works just as I need it to. I'm not sure what setting is best for me just yet. (Slight) CON: - No place to rest my upper shoulders/neck. It would be nice if this chair's backrest came up to my shoulders. Instead it comes up to my shoulder blades. But I have had similar issues with all the chairs I've tried to use. OTHER COMMENTS: - If you are used to sitting with poor posture, this chair might feel a bit strange at first. This is not a bad thing, but it will take some getting used to. - For me, the footrest feels too odd to use 24/7, only my heels rest on it. I prefer my footstool a little bit more since I do not have to put pressure on my heels.

Best desk chair we've ever owned.
I was hesitant to get this, because of the price tag, but this is truly an example of getting what you pay for. Everyone in our family is able to use this, from our six year old, all the way to my 240lb husband. It's comfortable to sit in, well padded, has good back support, and the foot rest is excellent for someone who is not tall. I do agree with some of the other reviewers in that I would love it to be a little deeper in the seat, but I knew this before purchasing. This is advertised as a child's chair, not an adult's, so I am not complaining. However, with a deeper seat, it would be suitable for marketing to children and adults alike. Since I'm not tall, even with the lesser depth in the seat, it's doable for me, but it would just be an extra plus to have it be a little deeper. Overall, we are very pleased with it. Setup could literally not be any easier! Chair top pops into base and it's ready to sit...love it! If it weren't so expensive, I'd buy one for each of my kids to use at their desks. It is the chair of choice for all of them, and they frequently snatch it to use during the day at their own desks

Perfect for 5 ft 1 female with back pain!
I herniated a disc in my back almost a year and a half ago, and I struggle with finding support because I am very petite. At 5ft1, I couldn't find a chair with which I could touch the ground, and also find back support; most office chairs are built for 5ft10 men it seems! This chair arrived days earlier than expected, was super easy to assemble, and fits me perfectly. It is supportive enough, but not overly rigid or uncomfortable like some can be. I find myself with less sciatica than I normally had; for someone with a chronic back injury, I was in tears the first day of using this chair because I hadn't had a pain-free full day at a desk in so long. It is incredible to have found something so perfect. I had to look at hundreds of designs websites, etc for a chair that fit AND was supportive enough, and this is it. It is reasonably priced, and checks all of my boxes. My orthopedic is thrilled! The style is the least important component to me, but even that is great- it looks modern and mature enough for any adult in the black color. My cousin actually gave me a desk chair that fit me (from a similar company) for free a few days after I received this one. I torn, because I love this chair, but I had now received one for free that also sort of fit. The next day, I got a genuinely hand-written note from the company's customer resource team, asking if I had any questions, wanted/needed anything, etc. It was the most personal communication I have ever gotten from a company- literally hand-written on a Hallmark little "thank you" note- and for that, I will not even consider returning this chair. This is the kind of company I want to be a customer of, and I will be for life. It sounds silly, but knowing that someone took the time to communicate personally and ensure that I'm happy, other than an an Amazon-automated survey, shows me that they do genuinely care about their customers. I cannot recommend this chair, or this company, enough.
