Beck/Arnley 044-0361 Auto Transmission Filter Kit

Worked great on the 2004 Porsche Cayenne S. Replaced the filter as part of the transmission fluid replacement. Kind of a messy job, but the filter fit perfectly and the transmission shifted just fine before and after the service at 215K miles!

Great transmission oil filter kit. Be sure to seat the filter o-ring properly. I put o-ring on the filter first then carefully put the filter on the transmission. I had a small maybe 1/16 gap between filter and tranny at the bolt hole that closed when I tightened the bolt down. Let me know that the o-ring was slightly compressed creating a good seal. Have multiple tools available to you can get to the pan bolts from different angles and directions. Make sure to have easy access to passenger side behind wheel, card board, wide oil pan and lots of rags. The tranny needs to be level then add fluid, start engine, add more fluid, cap, cycle gears, check fluid, repeat. Whole job took me 2 hours after cleanup.

The gasket is of good quality. There are small metal spacers to set the crush height of the gasket. The kit was short two spacers/bushings so I cleaned and re-used two of the old bushings. Measured with calipers the new and old bushings were close enough in length to work. 2,000 miles on it so far and no issues.

Had everything I needed to remove the pan, change the filter, and reseal it. Beck Arnley stuff typically works great.
