Why is there sugar in this?

Organic cane alcohol is a pure and clean form of ethanol, and is made from organically grown sugar cane. It is free from impurities and additives, making it a healthier and more sustainable choice than other forms of alcohol.

Manufacturer says cane alcohol, water, and vanilla beans. That would mean first main ingredient is cane alcohol. Is this the correct order.

Alcohol was actually listed as first ingredient, you need alcohol to make vanilla extract. I make mine with only a high quality vodka and Madagascar vanilla beans.

Vanilla where were you all my life?
