My mom has a star she puts out in the front yard every year for Xmas. She re-did the tinsel strand on the star, and wanted to get new lights. She was about to pick up a basic strand of lights from some store and I stopped her and said "Let me see what I can find online". I have a lot of experience in film/video/photo and LED's have changed the lighting game. So I found this set on Amazon and the price was good. We ordered them and put them on our star. WOW! My mom is excited that she can choose any color she wants, plus different multicolor combinations, and effects on top of that. The lights are definitely bright enough and the colors and different effects look great. I like the built in timer options on the remote so it will turn off automatically when the night is over. We just put our star up today and are waiting to see what it will look like for the first time at night. But I recorded this video in the garage after getting them installed on the star so you can see how good they look. The 66ft length with 200 LED's was perfect for our star. We were able to go around it 3 times (I used zip ties instead of candy-caning the wire around the metal). I used crimp-on wire connectors to extend the power cable so that it will go all the way to our house without an AC extension cord. This way the power unit and effects-control box will be inside and not out in the weather. I like them so much it makes we want to buy another set and do our porch or windows with. If you're on the fence about buying these, don't be. They're worth the couple dollars more to choose the colors/effects you want in a few seconds. I could see someone installing these on their house and then being able to just use the remote to change the look for different seasons. They're that versatile. You can do a normal Christmas color combo, they also have a spring/easter combo, a RWB for 4th of July, Orange/Purple for Halloween, and then Green/Red and White/Red for Xmas, or a White/Blue for a wintery non-Xmas look. Plus all the individual colors. They don't do straight Yellow the best, but that's not a big deal for us. If you specifically need yellow for your project, look for a strand that just does Yellow, as the LED bulbs will be specialized for that color.

These string lights completely transformed my space. The warm white glow feels cozy and inviting, and the 8 lighting modes are fun to switch between depending on the mood. The green wire blends nicely with trees and decor, so the lights stand out without looking messy.

After Holidays Update: Lights were still in great condition & working perfectly when we took them down in January. We left our backyard fence up as well as the oak tree. We’ve had a good amount of rain past several months & hasn’t affected the lights at all. I HIGHLY recommend this brand of lights for anyone wanting to invest in high quality strings for the holidays or even just to spruce up your property, restaurant, etc. I came across these when searching through 5 star product reviews for outdoor Christmas lights. All great reviews so decided to give them a try! I ended up ordering 4 sets of this & more of the shorter strands to wrap our backyard fence, perimeter fence, double gate & large oak tree in the front yard. Very happy with this product! It’s been raining a lot lately & hasn’t affected the lights at all which is great. They come with a remote with different effect options (available on a square connected to light itself as well) as well as dimmer option. Personally, I don’t see the reason any lights have the affect of strobe or quick twinkling so I only use the standard on option. Wish they had a slow subtle twinkle option instead. In all, these lights have a beautiful subtle warm white glow, great quality & seem like they will last for many seasons to come. **Highly recommend purchasing a dusk to dawn light outlet extension. I have all my lights running on multiple set ups & it’s the most hassle free option for us! Stick the stake in the yard, plug in, set your option (dusk to dawn or hours) & you’re good to go!

328 feet of lights and 17 foot cord so your setup will not look tacky. Lights are Bright, and the spool they come with make it easy to reuse when you take them down. For $50 this is a great deal compared to regular traditional lights.

I had such high hopes for my tree this year- This particular strand was supposed to illuminate my entire 7.5’ tree and I bought a second set of fairy type lights in hopes of achieving a slow twinkle. Upon first plugging these in, my immediate thought was how dull they looked. But I decided to go against my better judgement and proceed anyway. I figured with 1,000 lights, there’s no way I could go wrong here and I just kept telling myself they’d look better & brighter once I got them in/on my tree. So I started from deep within my tree; worked in a zig zag pattern and kept bringing the lights out farther and farther with each pass. It wasn’t until I started to make my way to the most outter part of the tree when the black wire really started to stand out. Why on EARTH would they advertise these as Christmas tree lights when the wire is black??!! Long story short, this is the saddest, most pathetic, dreary looking tree I’ve ever had in my entire life. The lights are extremely dim and it’s impossible to get past the black wire. It’s literally all you see. I was hoping it would grow on me. But it’s been 3 days and ya’ll I didn’t even have enough enthusiasm to plug it in tonight. Never in a million years did I think a lit Christmas tree of any kind could ever disappoint me. But here we are! So tomorrow I’m taking them all down; putting my original ones back up and the kiddos, hubby and I will be re decorating our tree…for the first time ever in 30+ years. And I can’t believe these were almost $50!! In no world would I ever recommend these to anyone!! P.S. The photo actually makes them look much better/brighter than they do in person. So that’s not even an accurate representation.

These lights are ABSURD. Not “festive.” Not “cute.” ABSURD. The moment I plugged these in, my neighborhood entered what I can only describe as a mild optical event. Cars slowed down. People stopped walking. Somewhere, Santa paused mid-flight, took a selfie, and tagged my house. 🎅📸 “#Blessed” Let’s talk about length. You get 328 feet of lights. That’s not a string — that’s a commitment. Then I realized you can plug another set into the end. Two sets? Congratulations, you now own roughly 600 feet of Christmas. That’s not decorating, that’s zoning approval. The brightness is unhinged. Like: “Are these legal?” “Can the ISS see this?” “Did I just summon elves?” The spool they come on? Chef’s kiss. This thing will last for YEARS. No tangled nightmare. No wrestling match next November. Future-me already sent a thank-you card. The remote works through my window. Through. The. Window. And it has a timer. Meaning I don’t have to remember anything ever again. The lights come on, do their thing, turn off, and I go on living my life like a responsible adult with dazzling priorities. Modes? Oh yes. Do I wish I could lock specific colors? A little. But honestly? The green/blue combo is so good I forgave everything. The rest of the modes are like a Christmas rave Santa definitely wasn’t invited to but showed up anyway. This is one step below app control — and frankly, that’s fine. These are pretty great, literally dazzlingly bright, and they have a remote AND an app. I only used the app due to the remote not functioning at all (so half a star OFF). I’m not sure I like having another app, but it does offer some ability to create color patterns of your choice and it’s better than a non-working remote (half star ON). It’s a bit of DIY learning in the app to code a color pattern, as I didn’t find great instructions. I really sort of stumbled into it and through it. (Half star OFF) Meanwhile, the length and spacing of lights is great, the brightness is exceptional (& I could dim them to a more reasonable level), and the black or dark wire blends into the rock landscape far better than white wire. I’ve placed them in our rock landscaping, as stated, and overall it’s been great. I also picked up 2 shorter sets for the other half of the landscape (on the other side of the sidewalk / front door). However, the short-string remotes do not have exactly the same lighting color combo options, as this long-string set, so it’s something to consider in your purchase maybe. I have used the app to imitate the colors from the shorter sets in this longer set. Challenging but possible. I’ll look at other options simply because a few lights stopped working (half star OFF), plus I haven’t found the warm it off show to be a nice or expected warm-white color on these, and I want all the strings of lights I have in the landscape to have the same exact options for color combinations. But I am not ruling out 2 new sets of these just yet. I do like the dimmable option because they are super bright. I like that I could create a combination of lighting patterns resembling colorful Easter eggs, a light combo for Christmas, and for probably just about any holiday or combo I choose. I like the dark wire that blends better with the landscape. I like that I can create color patterns, even though it’s a bit challenging to code the colors, unless you happen to know the light color code (which you can type in), so there are pros and cons. (I’d like to delete a few patterns I created because I won’t use them and I’m not certain I can change them.

These are as good as I thought if your buying for uk you’ll need a step down transformer which I’d learnt from previous mistake .lovely colours for the tree very impressive
