Absolutely fantastic piece of hardware that is a must buy for anyone looking to protect their flooring. We have glossy carrara porcelain and these do not leave any scratches or marks on our floor. We purchased two sets and were extremely easy to install. They do not make any noise and roll smoothly without any issues. These are a MUST now and are a way better alternative to plastic mats.

***Update 9/13/2024*** Just giving a quick update. I was super neglectful (and I am quite messy at times), but the wheels were basically dirt resistant. I transferred them to a new, better chair just today and cleaned them earlier this week, all it took was a little bit of bleach spray (lysol) and a quick rinse 10 mins later. Minor debris removal necessary. I also did end up getting a new and better floor mat, obvs no crack now, and the rolling was even smoother, so again/still, it's not the wheels' fault if you're having trouble rolling. These wheels are still fantastic and worth it to me. So the stars stand. ***original 6/22/2023*** I obviously hesitated buying these based on reviews, but I found these after previously considering single wheel replacements for my chair. It's only been a week but I am so glad I opted for these double wheel ones. They're the same size and similar to the wheels originally on my chair. Silent and smooth, I just like rolling in my chair now (like a kid again). I might come back and update this if there's any negative changes but so far, the only downside is that it is so smooth, that my damaged carpet mat and the carpet are dented (3+ years same spot) and so it's about the same amount of trouble getting out of/rolling over those damaged spots. I'm due to replace the mat anyway, but I suspect it will be a lot easier to get around on a non-damaged floor surface. Just FYI, if you're complaining about your inability to roll on carpet, it probably has to do with the fact that you have little to no thigh muscle or determined by the pile height of your carpet. I am not saying this as an insult; based on experience. I have used office chairs on all sorts of flooring at previous jobs, and I have weak legs but based on pile height or flooring type it was always easier. These wheels are definitely worth it so far. And the price point makes for a great value.

Very quiet wheels, be careful sitting down on the chair it rolls super easy. I have it on hardwood floors and they work really well. I would highly recommend!

I bought these wheels to cushion the contact point between my office chair and a new mat. The wheel diameter is smaller than expected, but the performance is perfect. Quiet and smooth movement.

Easy to replace with the old wheels under my office chair. They roll so smoothly, my fiancé wants to replace the wheels on his office chair as well. Amazing product so far, time will tell to see how they hold up.

These are great! The old ones pop right out and these pop right in! Just pull and push with your hands. No tools were needed. Far better than the hard plastic caster wheels my chair came with. Very smooth easy rolling. No problem holding my weight or my husband's. There's no way these would scratch our hard floors! Now I don't need to put down an annoying floor mat. It seemed ok on my husband's large area rug, but they'd probably do better with a hard desk floor mat on carpet. Not sure how they would do on thick or shaggy carpet (I don't have any). They seem well made. Arrived on time. I'd buy again.

Awesome but a little low. They are shorter wheels. The glide over any surface.

If you have never tried these replacement wheels then you need to just get these or try out a chair that has them. Sooo smooth. Get the twin wheels though not the single ones, and don't just go for the cheapest as some have dodgy bearings...

I'm a 300#er. About 5 years ago we replaced all 6 kitchen chairs of the set. As most know, office chairs MUST HAVE 5 legs NOT 4, like most typical dinette/kicthen sets. Reason. 4 leg caster chairs flip over easily when you lean too far and caused frequent Workman's Comp Claims at work. Why not for residential? Funny, you don't have an advocate to keep you safe at home? Anyway that's the law. I've had my kitchen chairs flip and at 78 years old, it's a great opportunity to break a hip and end up in a care home. Surprised, the upgraded Shepherd casters lasted only about 5 years. Then they got packed up with my wife's long hair and our spanel's long hair. Upgraded to Shepherd silicon casters so our chairs would roll EASILY AND QUIETLY. They were great, but the relatively thin silicon riding surfaces started delaminating from the caster wheels. They are not designed to clear out the hair that pack up the casters. A real pain. Bought these new ones - Yes, more expensive. But, they say minimum 9 years of daily office wear. These REALLY ARE QUALITY. The bearings are easily assessible to clean out debris/hair. They will likely last 'forever' for a normal sized person. Incredibly quiet & easy rolling. The whole caster is solid silicon - not just some thin wear surface. The black version in just as innocuous as the Shepherd casters. AND, if you look closel, the top of the caster is very small, compared to some competitors' versions that heve a blockey flat top of an 1"+. Also, they work well on lower pile carpet. Buy them - you will be pleased. Yes, unfortunately you only get real quality if you are prepared to pay a fair price. Cheap gets cheap!
