Disney Pixar Lightyear XL-03 Buzz Lightyear Figure, Authentic Action Figure 5 Inches Tall with 12 Posable Joints & Accessory, Gift 4 Years & Up

This a really nice figure of Buzz Lightyear for kids who have enjoyed the Toy Story films and now the new Buzz Lightyear movie. The figure is about 5 inches tall and is very precisely sculpted. It looks very much like the ‘human’ Buzz Lightyear character in the newest film and less like the chunkier ‘toy’ Buzz from the earlier films. The face is very realistic and characterful. The figure had portable joints are shoulders and elbows, hips and knees, and at the waist. I think also the head can turn but I’m not 100% sure as I’ve haven’t actually taken the figure out of the blister pack as I intend to give it as a gift and don’t want to spoil the packaging. He comes with a removable space helmet and with a gun of some kind that fits neatly into his hand. Both hands are shaped into a grip-position so you could apart have him hold other things. This is a great figure for a child to play those pretend/role play games with (I remember playing that sort of gang marks when I was a kid and I’m sure I’d have loved this little chap).

Disney and Pixar Lightyear XL-03 Buzz Lightyear Figure The packaging on this figure shows its by Mattel, a well-known toy brand and it has the CE logo as well. This figure is not painted with the normal colours for Buzz Lightyear who is usually coloured white, green and purple so children may have a little difficulty relating to him in the same way as the more familiar Toy Story character. The set includes a very small Flare Emergency Rescue Pistol (FERP) and space helmet. The flare can be carried by Buzz either in his hand or on his hip. The character measures approximately 5 1/2" in height, stands unsupported and is poseable with lots of moving joints. Age on the packaging shows for ages 4+ but be aware the accessories are very small and pose a choking hazard to small ones if there are younger siblings nearby. A nice little gift for Xmas with a lot of play value. Hopefully he won't get up to any mischief with the other toys on Xmas Eve.

Who doesn't like Buzz Lightyear? A great addition to any Toy Story fan's collection. Big enough to play with (if you're 4+), small enough to stand on a shelf or desk as a collectible. The removable helmet is a great idea - it's really strange but putting the helmet on seems to change his expression, the smile seems more determined somehow, or maybe that's just me? The ray gun is small and I can see this being the part that gets lost or eaten by the dog, but the overall look of the toy wouldn't really suffer much. An excellent stocking filler at a good price (£11.56 at 3 December 2022).

Great robust toy. Can be lightyear or a generic space man. Shame the movie was a bomb.

Very cute, with no expectations. It's a figure, with movable limbs to take on different positions, but it doesn't make lights or even talk. Well, on the other hand, what can we expect? It costs just £10.93. Very well made, authentic "Disney Pixar Lightyear" , nice as a gift if you don't want to spend too much, it still makes a good surprise.

Disney Pixar's first Toy Story film was released in 1995 - which is when lantern-jawed, blue eyed boy Buzz Lightyear first made his appearance. Since then, he's come a long way and starred in his own film and TV series. If this version of Buzz - named after US astronaut Buzz Aldrin - seems a little unfamiliar, as he was to me, that's because he's ventured into prequel territory. This articulated 5" tall figure represents an early version of Buzz - the XL-03 pilot. For a small figure, this Buzz has considerable play value. Not only are there 12 moveable joints to put him in a range of poses, his helmet and flare gun are removable - and the gun can be placed in his hand or can snap onto his hip. The toy's suggested age range is 4+ which I assume may be because the gun may be swallowed and even the helmet could be put in the mouth. As you'd expect from Mattel, this action figure is well made, superbly detailed and should prove durable whatever adventures he gets taken on. He'll stand up without support so could be displayed effectively too. Well presented and very popular, he'd make the perfect stocking filler for Lightyear fans.

One happy nephew when he opened this. Good quality figure and appeared sturdy and unlikely to break!
