Solid and good quality.
Excellent for the price. I use it for karaoke nights. But in handling notes but you wouldn’t really notice. Good battery life and strong signal. Liked it enough to buy two more slightly cheaper ones to give to karaoke customers. They all do a great job

Highly recommended
I am a sound and lighting technician for theatres and other venues and have recently been asked to install a system into a venue which a pretty tight budget. I’m normally abit funny when it’s comes to microphones as you tend to get what you pay for, however this one attracted my attention due to its good reviews so I made the purchase. I used this microphone in the above venue last week for a comedian from ‘mock the week’ with a large audience. His rider requested a sennhieser (£650 worth of kit) which this venue simply does not have nor can afford. The show was fantastic and the un-trained ear would not have known that this was a budget microphone. Really easy to get a good EQ as mix with no interference or the odd ‘cutting out’ like most mics in this price range. The performer and his tour manager were extremely pleased with the evening and how good the whole even sounded, and this is with thanks to this piece of kit. Well recommended for those on a budget. The flight rack fittings (1u) is also extremely useful.

Brilliant microphone
I thought I’d give this microphone a try , I have tried nearly ever model in my 52 years as a pro singer. This first note I sang into it really surprised me I shall be using this for a very long time. Do not be afraid of the low price it’s no reflection on the quality. If you need a good microphone this is the one

Don't believe the YouTube reviews - device is best avoided
The proverb is "you get what you pay for" and that is exemplified by this wireless microphone.I choose this over a similar specified but lower cost device because this came with a case and the promised features seem unbelievably good at the price. Unfortunately the promises are false. The case arrived with one clasp not functioning (broken), so I'll have to buy a better case after all. Unimpressed! There is an awful lot of handling noise when using the mic. Worst of all, the volume on the receiver and input gain on the mixer have to be cranked up seriously to be heard

VERY noisy compared to industry standard brands; no comparison
Someone on here compared this with a mid-range Sennheiser -- my first thought was how much did Phenyx pay them for that review, because just no. I really can't understand where these reviews are coming from, but this does NOT perform like a £600 Sennheiser, Shure, or Audio Technica microphone. On paper, the Phenyx seems to have it all. However, I quickly found this kit isn't for those looking for a clean, professional sound; which, really, I should have expected for the money. I tested this next to my Sennheiser G3 handheld (with 835 capsule, so a fair comparison, frequency response isn't miles apart), but couldn't believe how much noise was coming out of the Phenyx receiver! Getting both mics to the same level, through gain and fader adjustment, the Phenyx produced too much noise to be a viable solution for professional applications - you can actually see the noise level, once matched in an otherwise silent environment, in the attached photo. I did check the manual, and also contact Phenyx directly, to see if receiver gain could be trimmed to try and overcome the noise output -- the answer is "no", it cannot be adjusted from the mic or the receiver. For what it's worth, I swapped cables around, I swapped input channels, and ruled out that it was anything other than the Phenyx putting out a ridiculous amount of noise. If it weren't for that, I think this could have been an excellent bit of kit. The frequency response, while not quite as good as the Senny, was still good enough for vocals and speech with very little EQing needed. Hopefully Phenyx can resolve this (I imagine with better internal parts) in the next iteration.

Was soll ich sagen. 5 Sterne, klare Empfehlung.

I’m a sound tech with approximately 25 years of experience as well as a musician and singer in two cover bands. When I’m not performing, I’m providing sound for other bands in my area. I’m very comfortable on both sides of the sound console and know what I’m looking for in my equipment. I look for equipment that meets my needs regardless of the cost. It needs to be reliable and durable because I’m going to be carrying in and out of venues almost every weekend both indoors and out. In addition, it needs to have a reasonable set of features and in the case of microphones, they need to have a consistent and reasonably neutral sound before you introduce any eq, compression, etc. I've used a LOT of wired and wireless solutions over the years from every major brand and honestly this is one of the best values in wireless mics I've run across. The PTU-1 is comparable in features, quality, and sound reproduction to much more expensive units. Features considered; this unit matches very closely to the Shure SLX series which is currently 699.00. The biggest difference on paper appears to be the PTU-1 is an analog unit, and the SLX series is digital. Pros: - Solid all metal build quality - Good button layout and easy to read displays on both the handheld transmitter and receiver. The controls are very intuitive, and controls are well laid out. - Good neutral and consistent sound signature from the handheld capsule. Very similar to an SM58 but slightly darker. - Very good unwanted sound rejection from the sides, front, and distance from the capsule. Typical carotid pattern. - Comparable handling noise to the SLX and GLXD series. Wireless handling noise can be minimized by proper gain staging at every level. (You don’t want to turn the volume knob on these units all the way up. I’ve found that setting the volume at 9 O’clock gives me a very similar input level into my console as a wired dynamic mic allowing me to properly gain stage.) - Good wireless range and large available frequency options. I’ve been able to move around in venues with around 300 people very easily without signal issue using the included antenna mounted to the front of my rack with decent line of site. - Good battery life. I use Panasonic eneloop rechargeable batteries for years and I can easily get though a 5-hour gig without switching batteries. - GREAT feature set particularly the auto frequency scan and sync. This is VERY useful Cons: - Capsule CAN get a little muddy if you get right up on the mic with your lips. This is common for all carotid mics and this system is no different. - The capsule is screwed into the grill instead of the body of the mic. This makes cleaning the grill regularly a bit more time consuming. Since I work as a sound professional, I like to clean my equipment after each show, and I would prefer the capsule to stay with the base for easier cleaning. Bottom line is this is a fantastic unit and VERY reasonably priced. I’ve been carrying the PTU-7000 series for 3 years every weekend and they have proved to be very reliable and consistent. I wouldn’t hesitate to carry the PTU-1 and PTU-2 units either. Phenyx pro has earned my trust as reliable, well built, and reasonably priced gear. If you’re needing sound reinforcement for a local church, cover band, or small to medium sized venues, I recommend you give Phenyx Pro a look.
