I often need a cotter pin, the needed sizes vary. My backup supply ran out and I shopped locally for a pack with assorted sizes. None of my local hardware stores sold assortments, and individual pins were shockingly expensive -- up to $1.50 for a single pin in the large size I most needed. This set gives me enough cotter pins that they will keep me supplied for years at a bargain price. The number of pins in the smaller sizes is excessive, but who can complain about having too much? The description says "The specialty lock ensures a tight lasting hold and comes with a key that opens four types of lock." I have no idea what that means and what I received has nothing I can identify as a lock nor key, but I was wanting to buy cotter pins, and that is what I received. I have bought Neiko products before and have always been impressed with the quality and value. This set fulfills all expectations.

Needed new cotter pins for my 4Runner tie rod ends and these were the perfect size. Strong and sturdy, easy to install and just like oem. Everything appeared in good shape upon arrival so I have no complaints. Great product.

They are cotter pins, but including little cut-offs is not cool. I am not going to count how many there are, but I hope I got what I paid for. The different sizes is a plus. Pretty simple to install.

This product was a life-saver as I had to replace numerous cotter pins on my vehicle and have hundreds more for anything else that comes along the way. Definitely worth the money for the price to quantity ratio for cotter pins, this could last for years based on necessity and usage.

I bought these because at my local store they are $5 for 6. So I figured these were a better option cause only $13 more and I'm set for life, well I was right and they are high quality but be aware that there are A LOT of pins in the this kit. I know it says 555 but you don't really realize how many until you get it lol. Overall a good purchase and I will definitely not need to purchase a cotter pin again.

This assortment of Kotter pins is great for the average, non professional, user. It provides plenty of sizes and ample quanity for those who would only need a few on occasions, as such, this will cover you for awhile. I needed some to replace older pins on my snowblower and I am really happy with the strength exhibited as well as the sizing options. This kit is one of the better values that I was able to find.
