Superb alternative to K & K mini at half the price. Installed in a J45 along with volume control. Highly recommend watching the installation video and don’t be in a hurry. Have a practice placing in the correct position before glueing. Get gel type superglue to avoid accidents. Definitely use a step drill before final drilling out to 12mm . If you don't, you risk tears in your guitar’s finish. If fitting the volume control then connect everything together before you begin. Really happy with the results and surprised at the output volume. Plugged straight into my AC 15 without preamp gives a really natural sound without the quack of a LR Baggs under saddle element.

If you bought the journey pickup but this too It's cheap for what it is and it goes in in five minutes. Easy install, simple use it's a volume wheel. Sound quality is actually better as well bc you can tune the output to the amp DI or IR or whatever you're running into.

I put this in when I installed the pickups. They had a lot of treble, finger and string noise with this volume knob open. I turned the volume down a bit hooked up straight into my 15-inch Peavey dark matter powered speaker and it's amazing. It sounds just like the acoustic guitar only amplified. A must have IMO. I mounted it on the bottom of the sound hole, so the cables were too short, and I had to turn it around, so... the adhesive already installed was on the wrong side. I had to use my own adhesive. Journey pickups with this are about as good as it gets. Without it I would have to EQ the pickup. I mounted the pickups with double sided tape under the bridge. They overhang the reinforcement board a bit but doesn't seem to hurt the volume output of these pickups. They do need a volume control. I like where I have them, if they fall off, I will super glue them in place.

I’m so impressed with this pickup. I had a saddle piezo and it sounded just like a saddle piezo and required a bunch of eq and processing. This product makes my guitar sound exactly like my guitar! Eq isn’t a need, but just a tool for color now if wanted. The price for this is incredible, as it sounds better than any other pickup system I’ve heard - because it makes my guitar sound like my guitar!
