Can you answer this question: Who is the Antichrist and what is the Apocalypse? The earliest Christians following the Twelve Apostles often spoke and wrote about the arrival of the Antichrist before the return of Jesus Christ at the end of time. Best-selling author and professor Dr. Taylor Marshall provides an easy to understand collection of Church Fathers, Saints, and Mystics as he pulls back the curtain on the end times prophecies of the Book of Revelation - the Book originally called The Apocalypse. In these exciting pages, you will discover: The meaning of Apocalypse and why Christ uses the term Apocalypse. The ten prophecies about the future Antichrist. The meaning of the seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven plagues. The true meaning of Armageddon. How the Mark of the Beast and 666 relate to Old Testament prophecies. The identity of the Harlot of Babylon and the Beast. How the Book of Revelation/Apocalypse is the most hopeful book of the Bible. Review: If the Bible were a museum, this would be the guided tour. - Indiana Jones, in the movie ‘The Last Crusade,’ encounters a point in his journey where the path becomes obscured and his way uncertain. He encounters the bridge of faith, invisible to the untrained eye. Yet, using knowledge and insight, guided by faith in wisdom, he successfully crosses a chasm where eyesight alone proves insufficient. Even so is St. Johns last book in the Bible; the words alone are insufficient without a deeper understanding. For many, Christian or not, trying to fathom the Apocalypse poses a challenge, as it is such a cryptic representation of a vision which is often, largely ‘invisible’ to most. Those passages, however fascinating, are more of a chasm than a bridge. And yet, even as did Dr. Jones in his quest for the Holy Grail finds a way across, without ignoring anything in the texts, Dr. Marshall uses his considerable acumen and logic to reveal a “bridge”, hidden from view for most readers, of that obscure Scripture which, nonetheless, fascinates so many over the centuries. Bristling with supportive footnotes and bibliography, which alone could provide a long summer’s reading list, this richly detailed exposition provides as much of a wealth of knowledge as it does, understanding. And for fans of linguistics and etymology, there is rich reward throughout: the benefit of Dr. Taylor Marshall’s wide mastery in the tongues of the Bible as written, both the Greek and Hebrew, enriched yet again with a mastery of Latin. And so, delving into the great history of the Jews and the Land gifted from God, we find in these pages, not a greater mystery, but a clearer understanding of what is essential as a closing chapter in the greatest (if reprintings are any indication of ‘greatness’) Book ever written: The Bible. A book, which overflows with messages and warnings, admonitions and loving praise, the Bible is sometimes misunderstood for its meaning and purpose. Even as pearls of great beauty can become a nuisance when strewn underfoot, artfully strung they can become a thing of beauty, enhancing the one fortunate to wear it. So too, Dr. Marshall gathers the beauties - the pearls- that fill the sacred Scriptures, though confusing to so many, and masterfully ‘strings’ them together into a cohesive, intelligible, and beautiful exposé of the vision of the end of time, given St John in his last years. In my opinion, this book should be a required compendium for anyone, who is intent on the fullest understanding of the Bible, lending a clarity which fills the reader with many “ah-HA!” moments, even reaching back in time, as the path through obscurity becomes plain, understandable, and mostly, enriching the reader with a hope and joy which is clearly Dr. Marshalls heart, and intent. Even if you are not driven by a spiritual calling to understand scripture, the enlightenment found between these covers is as rewarding as it is entertaining for those ‘entertained’ through the acquisition of knowledge from a renowned scholar, and educator for untold numbers of people, worldwide. After reading this book, I will never see biblical passages in quite the same way. Review: Good price. - Well-made book.

A Destined Classic for Our Apocalyptic Times
Bold and daring, honest and true, Taylor Marshall lays out the prophecies about the AntiChrist, his origins, the conditions to his arrival and telltale signs, duration of his reign and his ultimate defeat. Interweaving his adept Thomistic scholarship, Taylor keenly analyzes and comments upon the Old Testament and New Testament. Utilizing the writings from the Doctors of the Church, mystics, and prophets and other sources, Taylor enlightens and forewarns our generation and other generations to come about the current, imminent battle. I estimate that only a few Catholics have heard of some these prophets and mystics, and all odds are that most Christians and non-Christians have not heard these prophecies at all. Which is why, I believe this book is a gift to mankind as a clarion call to be prepared for what is to come, if not in our generation but the generations to follow. It is destined to be a classic like "End of the Present World and The Mysteries of the Future Life" by Fr. Charles Arminjon which deeply influenced the life of a future saint and Doctor of the Church, St. Therese of Lisieux. Some of the best takes from the book are summarized in the charts, diagrams and five appendices. The layout in the book makes it easier to comprehend and to visualize an otherwise very difficult subject matter. There are so many incredible Eureka moments that illuminated my understanding because of such summaries (The AntiChrist Summarized, 7 Churches as Old Testament History, Old Testament epochs, Great Tribulation, Ezechiel's Vision and John's Apocalypse, etc). The appendices itself are worth buying the book. Just read three tantalizing titles which peaked my curiosity: Appendix 1: Timeline of Future Events, (Who wouldn't want to know that!); Appendix 2: The Minor Chastisement, (Chastisement? What is that and who will be chastised?); Appendix 3: Death of the AntiChrist in Tradition. Among the many incredible chapters in the book, in my opinion, the best section of the book is the Epilogue: Choose between Christ and Antichrist. Why? (It's not because it is the end of the book!) It is because it is here that Taylor audaciously and courageously proclaims his innermost convictions with imperatives that led to his own conversion and to be the hero he is to me and countless others. Reading this alone would make a person who truly loves Jesus Christ, Our Lord desire to see Jesus the Groom and His Bride the Church be victorious over Satan and his minions so that the Our Father Prayer will be accomplished: "Thy Kingdom Come Thy Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven." Amen!

Revelation made understandable
When a Bible is purchased, include a copy of this book if you will read the book of Revelation. To the list of the eight sins, I would add will to power with intent to deny free will of others. Revelation apparently says that absolution must include doing works. I do not do works as I understand it, and I know of only one other person who does. The day before Pope Francis published his document allowing priests to bless same-sex couples, and on his birthday, lightening struck the statue of St Peter at St Peter's Church in Buenos Aires Argentina, where Pope Francis had been bishop and cardinal. The lightening strike had bypassed lightening rods installed on the church roof. The halo of St Peter and the Keys to the Kingdom on the statue were obliterated with little or no damage to other parts of the statue. This event seems nothing less than miraculous, like an act of God. Is it possible to determine the probability that this event could happen absent the direct hand of God? Lightening begins with a cloud of free electrons residing in a vapor cloud. The electron cloud wants to go to ground where there is zero potential. It sends out sensing for a path which will be at a lower potential than the electron cloud. The lower potential path found, the cloud of free electrons bolts along the path to ground, atomizing atmospheric molecules along the path. The Lord in heaven might have enabled the process by placing billions of billions of positively charged ions along a path from a cloud to the halo and the Keys of the Kingdom on the statue. In other words, God would have put a wire in the sky to guide the lightening bolt where he wanted it to go. Did He put a wire in the sky? Pope Francis also believes that no one is removed from the church by schism, apostasy, or blasphemy. It may be that Francis hopes for divine salvation of every human being who is living or who ever lived. But hope itself does not equate to fact. But when we look at the creativity of how the world is built, of, for example, how lightening bolts happen in detail, then a precise order and great beauty is seen. It becomes evident that the second law of thermodynamics, IE original perfect order, reveals the truth of God. Perfect order does not occur by accident. Great beauty is a mark of every soul, is the mark of the word of God. The hearing of the voice of God in the conscience is the consummate communication.

Different book.
The first thing I noticed is the print is lighter than books I read comfortably. I also noticed the organization of book is in parts rather than chapters. So the organization is different at least from other informational books on the subject. I love to hear Dr Marshall speak and the way he is so quick and can relate in conversation and put ideas together on the spot because of his many years of obvious study. He's a good listener also. He also has a genuine response to things that are wrong morally. I haven't gotten to delve in yet to the book because of the print and organization style is different to me and perhaps "listen" to Dr Marshall rather than read him so to speak. The audio book might be the way to go. But I am carving out that moment to dig in and get out of this book what may be a message we haven't really heard for our time and correct some of those wacky books that came out in the last 50 years.

Finally, understanding Apocalypse (Revelation) in one easy informative body of work.
This new work of Dr. Marshall Antichrist and Apocalypse is every bit as good as his previous master piece Infiltration: The Plot to Destroy the Church from Within. Dr. Marshall walks you through the daunting and complex Book of Revelation like no other. His book unpacks the fear, drama and joy contained in Revelation and reveals the exciting, interesting times to come. Who knows, depending the age of the reader this final book in the Bible may all be playing out in your lifetime. For one to understand and appreciate the Book of Revelation (Apocalypse) one really needs to have first a understanding of the Old Testament. No worries, Dr. Marshall breaks down the confusion, symbolism, barriers, definitions, and connects all the dots, providing meticulous footnotes, cross references to Bible verses, commentary from Church Father’s (tradition), and the works of other theologians and relevant writers in this 311 page book. This body of work will be a tremendous resource for anyone’s library and likely now (should) become mandatory reading in many Christian schools, Universities and Seminaries. This should be a must read for EVERY Catholic: Pope, Bishop, Priest, Deacon (transitional and permanent) Catechetical Instructor and everyone in the pews. If you have (had) been Catholic and catechized in the church the last 60 years you probably realize you have been poorly educated in your faith. You don’t know what you don’t know until someone shares the facts and truth. This work of Dr. Marshall will show you something NEW on nearly EVERY page. You will lament: I didn’t know that, I wasn’t ever told that, or, I never realized that connection or meaning before. It will be a hard book to put down once you get started. This book will clearly show you the parallels and foreshadowing of the past and more importantly what is to come in the future, and the future may not be that far off. Having understanding, wisdom and knowledge as to what is coming should settle most of your fears which are real, and prepare you better spiritually for the close of this epoch and the meeting and judgment of Christ that is inevitable for all of us.

The ear to hear what the Spirit says to the churches
Have you ever thought already about why the Book of Revelation is called so when the entire Bible is a revelation itself? My personal take is because this book contains all of the Holy Scriptures distilled. What I learned from the Antichrist and Apocalypse: The Book of Revelation… • …can be understood. • …is to be read. • …is to be loved. Having already listened to the podcast series of Dr. Marshall on the same topic some seven years ago, I thought this book would be just the same thing written. I had a reason to do so, as the series is several hours long. But I was wrong. Beyond containing all the key themes there, the book has several important additions showing that the author was still researching this huge topic thoroughly during the past years as well. With this background, I find the following topics specifically interesting: • Holzhauser’s historicist interpretation • Supposed timeline of future events • Role of Enoch and Elijah • Explanation of the millennial reign of Christ (quite detailed) While Antichrist and Apocalypse is a long book itself, populated with references it is still offering vast possibilities to make further researches on your own. Even if you do not think of Dr. Marshall as a renowned scholar to be listened to, you cannot circumvent the passages in the rest of the Holy Scriptures, the writings of the Holy Fathers, and the visions of mystics verified and approved by the Church supporting his narrative strongly. Even more, he is writing in a style that is not lost in sophisticated terms of scholarship, but is understandable for all. He is writing about the Apocalypse as if it were the Super Bowl Yesterday. Or the Oil Crisis Today. Or the unfolding of the Ukrainian War Tomorrow. Because it is important, having an impact on our everyday life even now. So go out there, eat the scroll, and get that blessing! Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

Very useful and well written book
Thank you so much Dr. Marshall for your most interesting and enlightening book on a difficult topic like the book of Revelation. I learnt much from the perspective of the Catholic faith. To the embittered Protestants who did not even purchase Dr. Marshall's book, let alone read it, but left derogatory comments : I understand your strong dislike of the author's book. Ever since the former Augustinian Catholic monk and priest Martin Luder, aka Luther, started protesting against the One, Holy, Catholic (= universal), Apostolic, and subsequently, historical Church, his fellow radical protesters continue to rebel against the Church our Lord Jesus-Christ officially established the day of Pentecost, seven weeks after His blessed resurrection. The Protestant faith was established in the first half of the 16th century (as from roughly 1517). I would like to remind you the historical, universal Christian Church was established around AD30, in Jerusalem, Judea, not around AD1517 in Germany. That's just a historical fact and a spiritual reality. You may want to continue to stick your heads in the sand and keep protesting, but there's one truth you won't be able to escape : outside His official, historical Church, there is no salvation ! And that Church, dear Protestants, is the historical Western Latin Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Church. Do your homework. Cdl John Henry Newman (a former Protestant) said : "To be deep in history, is to cease to be a Protestant". That is so true. Can your Protestant faith resist and survive the crash test of history ? Protestantism, as a church and a faith, to be genuinely Christian, must be able to show an uninterrupted continuity since the day of Pentecost around AD30 until today, according to Christ's formal promise (Gospel of Saint Matthew 16,18b). If it can't, then it is not the original, historical, One, Holy, Universal and Apostolic Church. Amen.
