AMD Ryzensets 9 7950X Processor (integrated radeon graphics,16 Cores/32Threads, 170W DTP, AM5 Socket, 80MB Cache, Up to 5.7 GHz Boost Frequency, no cooler)

This CPU is an absolute monster. Gaming and productivity workloads offer absolutely no challenge. Honestly, it's even overkill for me. Benchmarks prove this beast can handle anything - see the hundreds online. I have also undervolted, and set a power limit via BIOs, and runs extremely fast and at low temps. Only sad point was the terribly expensive motherboards on release. I hope that will be less of a problem in coming years, and at least, the platform will last a long time! Also - messing around with undervolting, overclocking and more, resulted in many many BSODs. Even just driver changes can cause BSODs for me. Once I got it stable, it runs perfectly and rarely see any issue. Also overclocking DDR5 proves a bit tricky beyond 7950x supported range. That's a challenge for later I guess!

As a software developer, I spend a great deal of time compiling thousands of lines of C++ code so need a CPU that has exceptional multi-core performance. I bought the Ryzen 9 7950X for a new AM5 build to replace an ageing 10th generation i7 and I was delighted with the performance. My previous system took almost 5 minutes to do a full build of my project but this CPU has cut the build time to under 30 seconds. I highly recommend this CPU if you have a requirement for heavy multi-core processing.

Great performance. Intel have less cores, and many of their cores "efficiency core" nonsense, which should really just be called "fake cores", or at least "half cores". Well done, AMD. Note that the internal GPU is super slow; you woukd only use it in a server, to boot the bios and configure a few things, for example. It would be painful for 4k daily office-style use in a modern machine, let alone gaming.

I use 7950X for gaming and video processing. It crushes any workload I throw at it. Having proper cores with full AVX support is a big advantage in video encoding. Combined with 240mm AIO cooler, the temperatures are reasonable even in summer heat. Under load the CPU consumes 200W of power, so it needs a good PSU and cooler. Although in games it can be couple of frames behind the X3D version, I highly recommend this CPU as an all round option for both gaming and professional applications.

Seems to be very fast according to benchmarks even coupled with GTX 1070 (using it for numerical modelling as I don't game). Generally pleased but had a few headaches with running the AMD driver assistant.

super fast , runs hot ( 89 C ) on full load , but this is with an air cooler.. might need to install a liquid rad ..but is great for what i am doing
