Two of Hollywood's most beloved stars, Cary Grant (Father Goose) and Doris Day (Pillow Talk), sparkle in a breezy, stylish comedy that's rich with romantic delights. Loves arrives with a splash when a handsome and eligible tycoon (Grant) and a beautiful working woman (Day) meet over an outside mud puddle. He's enchanted by her small town ways; she captivated by his romantic, debonair manner. But when it comes to marriage, they have decidedly different views - she wants it and he doesn't! What ensues is a game of cat-and-mouse as each tries to win the other - with hilarious and heartwarming results. The hilarious cast includes Audrey Meadows (TV's the Honeymooners), Gig Young (Young at Heart), John Astin (TV's the Addams Family) and Dick Sargent (TV's Bewitched) with a special appearance by New York Yankees legends Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and Yogi Berra. Directed by Delbert Mann (Lover Come Back). Written by Stanley Shapiro (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Pillow Talk) and Nate Monaster (Call Me Bwana).

Funny and adorable
How can you beat Doris Day and Cary Grant? The answer is you can't. These two legends are at the top of their game in this romantic romp. This great movie also includes Audrey Meadows as Doris' over protective friend, Gig Young as Cary Grant's well meaning assistant and even a very early performance of John Astin as a lecherous office worker after poor Doris. Get the popcorn and enjoy movies the way they used to be before foul language, graphic sex scenes and car explosions.

Classic Day/Grant romance with great '2nd story' comedy.
Cary Grant and Doris Day at their best together! The delicate handling of the Day character's decision of whether or not to have premarital relations with the Grant character makes this a classic and a call back to different time. Cary Grant at his best charming self so you believe the struggle to say 'no' and desire to say 'yes' that leads to main plot points. The cleaver humorous addition of the Grant character's friend and his own involvement is almost more enjoyable than the main story! He meets the Day character and bets Grant on what her choice will be, then works to win the bet. Okay, we have seen that before, but his side conversations with his therapist really ups the humor. John Aston's supporting role as another man interested in the Day's character is another plus to the move.If you have never seen a Day romance movie from this time, this is the one to see !

Cameos of great past baseball players of the New York Yankees.
Thank you for your business. Great picture and sound quality. Cary Grant has always been one of my favourite actors. He and Doris Day are great together on screen and this picture has cameos of the past great baseball players Micky Mantle, Roger Maris and manager Yogi Bera.

Doris Day gives all as usual; Cary Grant as usual
Two wonderful stars light up a rather ploddish script, with good supporting cast. We want them to get together but frustrations lie in wait: somewhat predictable. Some excellent scenes but rather patchy and theatrical in construction. Could have had a lot more vim, or vrill or something like the champagne effervescence implied in the title. A touch of mink is all we get!
