I have split hair dye and this has been my FAVORITE red by far!!!! Last purchase I bought 4. I don’t wash my hair often so the color was super vibrant and long lasting. Everyone would always compliment my hair. Whenever someone asks me what hair dye I use I immediately open up amazon and show this this product.

The perfect red color for my hair! Love that this comes in 4 smaller pots so I can use what I need while keeping the other pots closed. Does stain the skin easily as most vibrant reds do. Application is easy with a tiny brush as this product is a jelly type consistency so it’s not super messy and doesn’t drop everywhere.

I love Directions in General. Quick and easy application; I usually mix the color with conditioner, a hair mask or a shampoo. You don't even have to ultra bleach for a fresh color; a regular box dye that makes you a few nuances brighter does the job perfectly. After washing it thoroughly out, mix a few tablespoons Directiins with some conditioner and leave it on for 20-60 minutes. The result has always been a fresh, bold, elegant and well groomed hair color. I wear my Pillarbox Red despite I'm having a professional Recruitment Career and got the most compliments for Pillarbox Red so far. Note: I used a box dye dark copper tone before and applied 2 teaspoons Pillar Box Red mixed with conditioner, so my color came out waaay darker than in this picture. But still bold and fresh. Another reason why I love directions is, that you can either mix colors to "mute your color down" or to use a regular drugstore deep cleanse shampoo to take out the bold.

I ordered the pillar box red to go over my previously coloured red hair as I know from past experience that it fades really fast and I bought these to top up when I feel the colour is going a bit "orange" and I don't want to keep putting permanent colour on my hair. First off, I have not washed my hair yet so I can't say anything on how well it stays in after being washed but I am VERY pleased with the colour I have right now. I previously had quite dark red hair which I was planning on brightening later on but this has given me EXACTLY the colour I wanted all along, a lovely raspberry toned deep red. I LOVE IT!! Being a hairdresser I have used all sorts of products, my fave the last time I had my hair red was crazy colour fire but that changed it's formula and I hated it. This is what crazy colour used to be. Stains your skin, yes but if it doesn't do that how do you expect it to stain your hair for any amount of time? I used 1 pot for my whole head (quite thick shoulder length hair) and the consistency is very jelly like and thick, which I like, it spreads a long way. I have nothing else to say other than I will definitely be buying this again because I am in love with the colour it gives me, yes it took a while to be delivered but totally worth it.

A great product but check the contents of the box on arrival. One of the tubs of four was actually empty. I didn't realise immediately as didn't check all the tubs in the box.

The product went on easily enough with no unpleasant smell it looked really vibrant at first but unfortunately after just two hair washes with shampoo and conditioner it is fading already and washing out so that was a little disappointing. I would probably buy again just to try to keep my hair colour vibrant.
