Check out Louie Giglio's other bestselling science devotional, How Great Is Our God: 100 Indescribable Devotions About God and Science. Review: Bringing God together with the world He created - From Earth to space, animals, and our bodies, this is an awesome introduction into the world that God has created. Each devotional begins with a bible verse and discusses a scientific topic associated with it, then connects it to God. They also share a โBe Amazedโ fact and close in prayer. We love this book. This was my childrenโs first devotional and we used it at the beginning of each homeschooling day. I got one for each of them and they would swap days choosing a devotional and marking it off in the Table of Contents since they didnโt go in order, which isn't necessary. My children took turns reading and were fascinated by what they read, excitedly sharing new things they had learned with me. The material overall could be read by my children, they were 7 and 10 when we did most of this, with only the occasional mispronunciation. The devotional doesnโt get too deep into the scientific subjects, but you can always find other books to delve deeper when your childโs curiosity is piqued, and they start asking questions. Though the material wasnโt too difficult to read and some facts my children already knew, from watching Wild Kratts or reading other science books, the biblical aspect was deeper and sometimes they didnโt fully understand it which provided opportunities for discussion when they had questions. We enjoyed this book so much we have already bought the next book, How Great is Our God: 100 Indescribable Devotions About God and Science and got a copy as well for our niece and nephews this past Christmas. One nephew even sat still long enough for me to read a devotional and asked me to read another one to him. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a great starter devotional for their children and this will forever be in my library. Review: Love these books!!! - I read one of these chapters to my son every night, and he loves them. They are wonderful, each chapter has a theme around a scientific fact, and then the author relates that theme / topic to a biblical scripture or idea. They're wonderful because they teach about our world, science and also about God and the Bible. We also bought the next one "How Great is our God", which we only have 10 more chapters, so I'm about to order the 3rd one for my son for Christmas. Love these books!!!

A good prompt for creation centered conversation.
Well written devotions with science fun facts for creation centered families! While it's an easy read for my 3rd grader, she is thoroughly engaged by the text and loves the science connections! With that in mind, this is not a science textbook nor does it pretend to be. I don't exactly agree with all the content and feel that some facts require deeper digging. However, that's the beauty of literature. It challenges us to think and understand why we believe what and how we believe. One reviewer commented this devotion is masquerading as a science book but clearly is religious propaganda. Propoganda is intended to manipulate and control what society thinks through deceptive means. This books clearly labels itself as a devotional book. That means it clearly lets the buyer know this book is written for those who believe in God or perhaps are interested in reading a devotional from a Christian perspective. The book is not misrepresented in the title as to trick someone who doesn't believe to believe. Believing is a personal choice. A book will not make a choice for you. If someone reads the title and chooses it to teach their children that this is ridiculous nonsense and those who fall for it are ignorant, that is a type of manipulation as well as complete intolerance. Evolution is not proven. It is a theory. According to the scientific method it cannot be called a fact since it is still in the theory stage. Therefore, the buyer who cites the Big bang devotion from the book is doing so because it contradicts what they believe or don't believe. The book doesn't say those "some people" are wrong. It merely offers food for thought. Example paraphrased from the book: "{Consider the theory that an explosion created everything by throwing a puzzle in the air to see if it connects or forms upon landing}". It is my sincere hope that the world calling for tolerance/acceptance would recognize that attacking a book for clearly calling itself a Christ centered devotion with science fun facts is the opposite to a claim they value most- humanity and all it's variances.

Great devotional for kids or anyone
I bought this because I am always looking for a good way to incorporate scriptures into anything, really. I hoped to use it in homeschool lessons. First, the layout is great. Devotions are well written and we love the fun science aspects. Each devotion only takes a minute or two to read. So if you are limited on time or are reading to small people with short attention spans, this is perfect. If you want more you can always read another. Also, a great feature is a layout of the devotions by theme. This is really great for integration with homeschooling. I am always a bit leary with adding Bible based material without being familiar with the brand/writer, however, so far, this has been a great addition. Thank you to the writer & illustrater.

Amazing! Was a birthday gift for my picky middle schooler that absolutley loves this devotional!
This book is amazing! It really relates to children well and each story has something the entire family can learn about. My middle schooler leads my other children in devotional with this book. It is written well, scripturally-sound, illustrations are wonderful, and encourages spiritual growth and love and learning of the Word. Overall, it is really a well-put-together book. It has exceeded my expectations and I look forward to their devotion and seeing their excitement about how wonderful God made us and everything He spoke into existence. It's a definite buy. You won't be disappointed :) -- My middle schooler's review: I really like this book because it gives fun facts and it is easy to understand. I like the way science is tied into God and I find this book very interesting. One of my favorite birthday presents!

Wonderful and inspiring!
I began to read this book to my 9 year old before bed time and there has been countless times when God has used the stories to strengthen and galvanize my own faith. I love how the the author illustrates Godโs wisdom in creation and weaves it in to the Bible. My son always asks for it before going to sleep. Fully recommend ๐โค๏ธ

Beautifully, thoughtfully, intelligently written, engaging and theologically sound. Highly reccomend.
I am so pleased with this book - it's beautifully written and my son (7 years old) loves being read it (he keeps asking for it) and reading it himself. He is around an aged 9 reader and finding it achievable to read alone. He is just starting to develop his own personal faith and this book is perfect for him right now. We have a lot of bibles and devotionals, so I was a little concerned this would just be a repeat of previous purchases but it's not. Every thought is written with great heart and sound theology and they are very purposeful, thoughtful and meaningful without being wishy-washy or samey. The style of writing reminds me a lot of the Jesus Story Book Bible. As evangelical Anglican Christians we are pleased with this book for our children. I will be buying it as a gift for other kids in the aged 7-10 bracket. Highly reccomended.

Awesome book for kids
This book arrived today and we love it already! We read the first Devotional msg today, and my kids enjoyed it thoroughly. We even did some extended activity after it. The size, paper quality, book weight, illustrations, content, etc are on point. We are a homeschooling family, and this book will be very useful to learn Science. Kids are 5.5y and 4y, they need to be read to. Worthy buy for sure. ๐
