Strong and effective
Clean, fine powder with strong kick. Tastes pretty bitter, but caps up well into 00 caps. Great natural substitute for energy drinks. You can hide a reasonably sized dose in a smoothie, but don't push it. It can ruin the taste of anything you put it in. I would advise care using it. Dumping a heaping teaspoon into a drink and gulping it down is not advised. Start with a measured dose. Properly used, it provides excellent energy without a massive crash like energy drinks. However, you can hurt yourself with it, ending up with a racing heart and sweaty palms. At 73, my body tolerates it well with moderate use.

Pretty good stuff here
Hey what's up everyone? I just recently added this to my preworkout mix. I was a bit skeptical about it because I've never taken this before. I got away from regular pre-workout mixes and their matrixes or blends and started making my own with ingredients that I felt necessary for myself. I've only been on this for a week and followed the instructions on the back of the bag and it is the right amount to wake me up for my workout. I also have the creatine and the beet root powders from this bramd that I use in the pre work-out... Next I'll add branch chain amino acids. So the taste.... It's chalky... The ones I own are all chalky... But to overcome that I just add juice in with it to drink before hand. Helps cover the chalkiness. But what these are seperate ingredients so don't go thinking it's going to taste okay and like rainbows... Cause it won't.

This stuff is very strong. Do not use more than recommended!
The taste is tough to manage; however, I add 1/5 to my morning brew of coffee with creamer and agave syrup. It blends in favorably. The kick I hit is great as I am alert and energetic after about 20 minutes which is great for my morning exercise routines. On my first use, I actually misread several things in my overall research of this product. I overdosed thinking I was getting 150 g of caffeine and it was more likely well over 500g of caffeine with the dose I added to my smoothie. Later that night, I had serious vomiting and difficulty sleeping. Using more than 1/4 should be taken with extreme caution. Start with low doses and increase as needed. All in all I am happy with the strength of this product and it gives me the boost I need for my workouts. I also love the alertness it provides throughout the day. I recommend it, in carefully administered doses of 1/2 tsp or less if you're starting out using this brand of guarana.

Strong, effective and reliable consistent effects
This gives a bit more useful burst of energy than straight up anhydrous caffeine. I've used both a lot and while I will say it's a very similar effect, the other alkaloid profiles in the Guarana give you a bit of a sharper buzz and the energy rolls across you slightly smoother. Either way, it's an intense stimulant but I can take Guarana and if I take 2 minutes or 20 to get up and busy, it's not nearly the sense of urgency pure caffeine or even ordinary coffee can induce. There's a clarity without the acute intensity anhydrous caffeine always brings with it's use.

HELLISH for ME
This review serves as a warning. Serving size is listed as 400 mg. According to rxlist, doses greater than 250mg can cause side effects. See text below. I had a HORRIBLE experience after one single dose on the lower end and ended up in the hospital. They told me that for some people it can be dangerous at any dose. There should be some warnings included. Since there aren’t I’m including it here. I will never use it again. If you do use it, I would at least start with a very small dose and keep it small. **You need to know that there are risks.** Guarana is POSSIBLY UNSAFE when taking by mouth in high doses for a long time. Doses greater than 250-300 mg daily have been linked to side effects. Side effects depend on the dose. At typical doses, the caffeine in guarana can cause insomnia, nervousness and restlessness, stomach irritation, nausea, vomiting, increased heart rate and blood pressure, rapid breathing, tremors, delirium, diuresis, and other side effects. Large guarana doses might cause headache, anxiety, agitation, ringing in the ears, pain when urinating, stomach cramps, and irregular heartbeats. People who take guarana regularly may experience caffeine withdrawal symptoms if they reduce their usual amount.

This is an extremely good value for money way to get your caffeine in, but I recommend looking at how much caffeine is in it, doing your calculations on how much you want to take, and then weighing it out. You probably need a lot less than you think.
