Tail Light Assembly for 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 GMC Yukon/Yukon XL Passenger Side

This tail light fit perfect, and the price was great. It was properly installed, but unfortunately there is so much moisture built up under the light, and it won’t go away. Be aware as this seems to be an issue. *Updated review Seller contacted me and was able to send us a new tail light. This one seems to be working very well. We have gone through a few car washes, and have not had any issues with it leaking, or moisture building up in it like the last one. They had apparently gotten a defective batch of them according to the seller.

I got a bit of sticker shock when my right taillight of my 2016 GMC Yukon XL went out and the dealership quoted me $740 to replace. I was stunned. I told them no. So I researched it online. Not being comfortable with non-OEM products, I searched specifically for an OEM GMC part online. Best I found was $589 before tax. So I thought I'd take a chance. Carparts.com sells an aftermarket for $284 which had good ratings. But I thought I'd try this from Amazon. It was so much cheaper, I had to really make sure I was getting a tail light and not just some kind of frame. But I did, indeed, get a tail light. The whole thing. I thought, "if it goes bad right away, I'll send it back in. Even if it goes bad later, I still could have bought 6 of these for the price of one OEM. It went in perfectly - just like a glove. I had googled how to pull the old out and install the new one. I took the old one out in about 20 minutes because I had a hard time getting it unplugged under the truck. But I installed the new one in less than 5 minutes, including the undercarriage plugin. And, most importantly, it all worked and worked well. So when I can save $500 on something that works well, I do a little happy dance.

This light is better than the one manufacturer one that comes with your vehicle. Great quality and look. It fits just like the original. I think the brightness is a little better also. It was good price for the value comparing to how much they charge at the dealership for one.

**Update: Litterally days after I wrote this review the bottom half of the tail light began flickering. Support window has closed, no warranty. I’d look elsewhere unless you want to replace every 6 months. Fit like OEM. No moisture inside after 6 months of use. Overall happy with the product.

Perfect fit! Mechanic shop quoted me $1400 to fix my light because it was LED. Ordered this and took me 5 mins to install!!!! Less than $100!

When the dealership told us it would be $960 to replace one taillight, we started looking for alternatives. The reviews on this light were promising, so we decided to give it a try. The assembly was fairly simple and took under 15 minutes to complete. The light looks the exact same as the one from GM and saved us over $800.

I bought to replace the one a body shop got out of a junkyard when they repair some damage from a minor accident. The replacement never worked right and for the longest time I thought it was the wiring, because I had the vehicle modified for flat towing. After some troubleshooting I realized the problem was the light itself. A new one from GM is like $800!!! I decided to give this aftermarket product a shot, because, hey, I can always return it, right?? Well it arrived 2 days sooner than listed which was a bonus as well. I was able to use the existing wire harness and it fit perfectly!! I tested the lights and turn signals successfully and then closed it up!!!

Taillight looks and operates like OWM and installs very easy. However after first day it drew extreme moisture inside and never went away. I’m exchanging for another one to give it another try. Hopefully works out considering a OEM from dealer is $700-800.
