Fits my kid great, approximate weight is slightly above 30 lbs. The straps go over my kid's chest and fit nicely. The padding seems sufficient to keep my kid floating in the water. When on the is not that much mobility in the arms; however, there is sufficient mobility in the arms and legs to stay afloat. The quality is good and easy to put on and take off.

At the end of every summer, I wash it, let it air dry for a few days, and store it in a plastic bin in my garage with our other life vests. It has never had any mold or bad smell. We finally put this to use this week and it is a very good life jacket, it kept my baby on their back and their head out of the water- it adjusted well and fit my baby under 20lbs. I took off a star because of how bulky it is, making it a bit uncomfortable for baby in the water. I bought it with a coupon making it less than $27 and that felt like a fair price- if it were more I might have gone for a more known brand.

It rises up to her chin alot but will save her if she can't swim. It keeps her above water.

This life jacket fits my 30lb toddler perfect. With a little room to grow. It must be comfortable cause she didn’t want to take it off and the last one i ordered she couldn’t wait to get it off, But to be honest I do not see it fitting more than a 40 lb toddler so definitely don’t think it will be fitting a 55 lb toddler it should be more like 30-40 lbs.
