My house was built in the 1970’s with copper clad Aluminum wiring. Unknown to me, a previous owner replaced outlets with none Co/Alr receptacles. My wife plugged in a vacuum and somehow the Neutral on the load side popped loose, killing the downstream lights and outlets. Also, creating a dangerous situation with the hot still connected and the neutral open. The receptacle was for Cu wiring only. I am replacing all the receptacles in my house with these.
