For some odd reason I completely dove into the Keto Diet, using Mark’s approach, and decided to try it out. I quit veganism cold turkey and have never looked back. I am 100 percent happy, satisfied, love the recipes, the delicious food. My anxiety and stress is completely gone, I never worry about my weight anymore, I sleep like a baby, I have lost the last stubborn 10 pounds, my energy is through the roof, and I have nothing to say except for this is finally what I have been looking for. I have no sugar cravings, I can even skip meals now and then, and not even think about food. I do love and enjoy my meals 100 percent when I eat! As a vegan, it was really hard to go out to dinner and enjoy food with friends. Not anymore. I’m actually eating bacon, ground beef, steak, chicken, fish, eggs, delicious vegetables, and lots and lots of fat. I look at my thin and toned body – I am 5’ 7” and weigh 122 pounds, and cannot believe that I can eat as much FAT as I do. 80 percent! Good healthy fats!! And I am never ever hungry. Wow it’s just amazing that this works. My hair is even growing in thicker and my skin is gorgeous. I think my brain is even sharper. Get this book first, above all others!

Mark Sisson lays out the basics of keto in a thoughtful, easy-to-read book that makes plain sense of diet and exercise. Good information, hard to follow if not eating exactly what is in the meal plan.
I love all of the information presented in this book, and I love the idea of the reset before going full keto. What I do not love is that the reset isn’t actually laid out very clearly unless you plan to eat exactly what is in the meal plan. It doesn’t have a Do/Don’t list or a “if you create your own meals then aim for X grams of carbs/protein/fat per day” I’d really love to have a cheat sheet overview to just have to refer too, but it just doesn’t exist. The reset is explained over chapters with no end review before the launch. I don’t like meal plans, because I like to cook my own, but I can create my own if I have the framework and that’s not listed. The research is great and the recipes have all been pretty good so far, so I would still recommend the book. It’s just harder to follow than other programs.

Don't Try Keto Until You've Read This Book!
This is a combination science manual, lifestyle overhaul, and cookbook all rolled into one. I found I had to read it in modest chunks to fully absorb everything. It is also an absolute MUST for anyone interested in going keto. Why? 1. It helps you avoid all the pitfalls so you don't suffer or fall off the wagon. 2. Has all the info you need if you're an athlete, pregnant, suffering from various health conditions or otherwise have concerns about how you might need to modify things to meet your specific needs. 3. It's got all the lifestyle bits and science you need to make keto work... because it's more than just a diet, it's a lifestyle. Everything is clearly written and well laid out, and there are tons of recipes and flexible meal plans and other resouces to support you. It's definitely not for the faint of heart, but I couldn't have asked for better in terms of making keto accessible, practical, healthy and delicious!

Eye-opening and life changing information
I’m so happy I found this book. I have an underactive thyroid and Hashimoto, and my “conventional” diet wasn’t doing me any favors. Reading this book helped me understand the effects sugars, grains, carbs, etc. have on your body. Wow! Eye-opening to say the least. Believe me, I changed the way I eat as soon as I finished the book. Five weeks later, I’m down 9 pounds, my hair feels thicker and my hair shedding has decreased by a good 70%. And the best part is, I don’t feel hungry, and I don’t feel like I’m being deprived either. I like that the book comes with recipes as well. I don’t consume dairy products because dairy doesn’t agree with me, so I skip or modify the recipes that call for dairy products. I guess I’m more Paleo in that sense. But either way, I’m happy with my results so far, and would recommend this book to anyone wanting to understand what a ketogenic lifestyle (not diet) is all about, and how to get started with it.

A truly inspiring and straight to the point method for definetely embarking on the keto revolution. This book presents the most sensible way to transition to keto eating in a paced easy so that you do not fail in your keto efforts anymore. It also is the most comprehensive troubleshooting guide for anyone struggling to keep a low carb or keto lifestyle. Complete with sleep, exercise and stress management strategies, how to use keto supplements, how to deal with the most common setbacks and advanced experiments you can conduct once you are ready for Next Level Shit. And it still have a ton of recipes to start you on the gourmet side of keto. Truly, a masterpiece.

The book was delivered quickly. I really like the detailed and clear explanation from more perspective. It also gives an overview on the lifestyle effects and help with not only diet plan and recipes, but to give tips to change for a better and healthier lifestyle.

Definitely recommend. Easy to understand, the author writes as if he’s just explaining ketogenic to his friends. Some great colourful pictures of a handful of the recipes, but recipe section does not include pictures for final result of the food. Also gives good tips and notes about the recipe or a reference to a Dr. that may do something differently in the preparation. Not only does the book cater to overweight people to help lose weight but also athletes who need to have better energy and a more focused mind. Been doing the Keto 21 day reset now for 11days and I am down 10lbs and don’t even get me started on how my sleep has improved. I was always someone who had a hard time falling asleep, but in the last 8 or 9 nights I was out like a light by 10pm. Another great thing with the better sleeping I wake up before my alarm even goes off. No need for multiple snooze button pushing, I’m just ready to get up and start the day in a great mood cause I woke up on my own terms, not cause an alarm clock told me to 😀 Author kept writing how you’ll never feel hungry, I practically rolled my eyes each time I read it, but he’s right, it’s weird, but I am yet to feel hungry. If you are thinking of going Ketogenic this is the book to start with. It is so worth the money to get Mark Sisson’s experience, guidance and food plan.

Encontre el libro repetitivo. Si ya conoces a Mark Sisson hay poca novedad tal vez en capitulo 5 y 6. El resto realmente viene a llenar el libro sin contenido nuevo. Las pajinas con fotos no descargan y hay error. Las recetas en capitulo 12 no tienen indice. En fin me aburri enormemente leiendo las mismas cosas una y otra vez pagina tras pagina para encontrar algo nuevo. Pienso q es un buen libro para los q comienzas low carb, paleo, primal y keto. Pero si ya conoces , el libro sporta poco.

Mis en pratique avec l'élimination du blé dans mon alimentation (Pourquoi le blé nuit à votre santé, Dr W. Davis). Malgré l'apport plus important en bonnes graisses (et moins de proteins), aucune prise de poids. Toujours autant d'énergie et de vitalité et aussi, plus grande concentration. Je recommande.
