Nice adapter
I had to grind a little off of the lip to get Deaf Bonce speakers to fit. Good quality plastic.. nice and strong.

Used these in my '03 GTI to replace the front door panel speakers and they were a perfect fit. No issues at all

Fit great on mk7 GTI 2015 fender system only downside it finding a way to secure the bracket to the door I just used a m4 nut and bolt speaker will touch on door panel but can be trimmed

The screw holes are unevenly skewed to one side and don't line up with the original VW speaker rivets or standard 6.5 speaker screw holes. What's interesting is looking at the listing again you can see that the defect is apparent in the product photo as well, so more than likely this is an issue affecting all these spacers. I have attached photos including some measurements with the spacers and the original VW speakers. I hope I save someone the time and hassle of drilling out their rivets and only then finding out that these spacers will not work for them without modification.
