Cica-Care Silicone Gel Adhesive Sheet (5" x 6")

These were recommended by my dermatologist to minimize scarring after stitches were removed. It was a deep incision with stitches outside and inside. Since they were in a place on my back along my spine, it was hard to reach and they are hard to put on cause they do curl up onto themselves. But I was able to get it on and it did two things: 1. held the area together so I felt less pulling 2. Kept swelling and lumpiness on the actual scar to a minimum I wish I could’ve used them longer but because it was hard for me to reach the area that was scarred I stopped using them after two weeks. I think you can go as long as a month but even with just the two weeks it was very helpful. The soothing it does to the area alone was well worth it as well as that sensation that its holding the area together. My incision was right along the spine so there wasn’t any way I could move where I didn’t feel stress on the area. These really helped. The stickiness does fade after a week, even when you follow the instructions to keep it sticky. So you’ll probably need to order more than one. So the Cons are: doesn’t stay sticky as long as needed for full treatment, and can be hard to apply depending on where your incision is. The pros are: very soothing, supports the area around the scar without pulling or stiffness and does visibly seem to reduce puffiness with the final result of less visible scarring. However, in my case it did not reduce redness. I still have a colour difference between where the procedure was and the original skin around the area. However I only used it for two weeks. So if I went longer that might’ve also cleared. Anyway yeah if you’re dealing with an incision scar of any kind these are really helpful.

This gel works great, helped to get rid of scar tissue.i definitely would use this again if I had too.

After using both this and Scar Away, I can confidently say CICA-CARE is superior for my needs. Here's a quick comparison: What I Love (CICA-CARE): Thick & Secure: Feels much more protective than the thin Scar Away sheets. Stays Put: On my thigh scar, it doesn't peel or lift at all. A huge improvement. Easy to Clean & Re-use: This is the biggest win. It washes easily and stays sticky, making it very economical. Scar Away fails completely in this area. Great for Daytime Face Use: Stays on my oily face during the day without issue. The Minor Downside: Nighttime Face Use: It did tend to peel off my face while I was sleeping. Interestingly, the thinner Scar Away sheet stayed on better overnight on my face, but would slip off during the day.

They don't stick that great, but adding medical tape top and bottom they stick just fine. BUT they do a GREAT job of getting rid of scars, and that's what they are supposed to be for, right? Easy to wash and wear again, and they work fast. The knee replacement scar smoothed out to nearly flat and lost it's pink and mottled look within 2 weeks.

These gel sheets are impeccable. High quality, reusable, non-irritating, and comfortable. Following a surgery I chose these gel sheets (opposed to tape) for my scars treatment and am so glad I did. I was able to cut the sheets to the preferred size for my scars. I have extremely sensitive skin and have been wearing these sheets for nearly three weeks now with no irritation or discomfort. Excellent, high quality product!

Bought this item because my wife just had surgery on her face and it was recommended by our doctor to lessen the visibility of the scar created when the stitches were removed. It has made a wonderful difference on how her scar has improved.

I have been using the tape product since May and wanted to try the sheet. This product does not adhere at all. The tape product is 100% better. I wish I could get my money back as it is expensive for one sheet.

These are great if you need to wrap a cut several times they clean up nice, they stick on the cut well also! I’ve been using them for my horse’s leg cuts under all the wrapping - Love this product it’s a true money saver
