Great new tool.
We saw a woodworker use this rasp on a YouTube video and decided we needed one. It is a great tool! I carve spoons and it has been very handy! The blades are very sharp and can really remove wood! The saw rasp is very sturdy and well built.

I bought this to trim horse hooves at the suggestion of a farrier friend. It is easy to wield and does an exemplary job!

Good rasp for barefoot horses
This rasp was recommended by a Farrier by people with arthritis in their hands or wrists. It does an excellent job of removing excess hoof growth. The fine side allow you to smooth out the rough edges left by hoof nippers and make a smooth Mustang roll on the edge of the hoof. Highly recommended.

You'll be surprised how good this is
Saw it being used by a YouTube woodworker recently and had to try it for myself. Compared to a traditional Rasp, the Shinto seems easier get get started and control. It takes off more material per stroke on the coarse side and leaves a fairly smooth finish on the fine side. Only negative I have, mine came with a Plastic Handle and not the wooden one shown in the picture.

It does a good job on shaping handles and removing wood that you would normally get at with a spoke shave or bastard wood file.

Great stock removal tool for wood
Removes wood easily, and leaves a surprisingly smooth finish (at least as smooth as a traditional rasp would). I will purchase another to have on hand in case something happens to this one, or I wear it out. I would recommend this tool to a friend.
