Insta360 X3 Standard Bundle - 5.7K Waterproof 360 Camera

I recently got my hands on the Insta360 X3, it's been a solid addition to my camera gear. First off, the waterproof feature is great. I took it along on a beach trip, and I didn't have to stress about splashes or accidental drops in the water. The camera held up perfectly, capturing some amazing shots of my friends and the waves without a hitch.The image quality is impressive too. The 360-degree feature lets you capture everything around you, which really makes for some fun editing later on. I loved how easy it was to switch perspectives, and the detail in the footage is stunning. Even in low light, it performed better than I expected for a compact action camera.One thing I appreciated was how user-friendly it is. The app that comes with it is intuitive, and the editing features are straightforward, making it easy to create cool videos without spending hours fumbling around.Battery life has been decent, lasting through most of my outings, but I recommend keeping a portable charger if you plan on shooting all day. Okay I admit it, I am a fan of the Insta360 Cameras. Their range and ecosystem of Editor/Creator app for Smartphone/Tablet and PC/Mac make for an overall fabulous package. Both Camera and Software are fairly easy to learn and use. The latest update to the PC/Laptop package is a significant improvement over previous, being fully up with the mobile app.I bought the Insta360 X3 as an upgrade to my One X2 to gain the higher capabilities. The larger screen is a delight, I've never been a fan of the little circular screen of the One X2. Not only does it make for easier access to the camera's menus but also as a viewfinder it is so much clearer to see.The X3 is slightly thicker, not that its noticeable in the hand. The batteries of the X3 are not backwards compatible with its earlier models. The USBC charge door is now hinged on the X3 which not only makes it easier to access and use the USBC port but also does not suffer the risk of the older model's door tether breaking with wear and tear exposiong the door to loss. This may not seem a big deal, but it would be if you lost the door, where the camera would no longer be waterproof to any depth at all.Overall the X3 is a nice iterative update to the previous model. There are legions of reviews about the differences and how well the X3 works and what you can do with it that I will not attempt to duplicate here.Suffice to say, the Insta360 X3 is a great 360 camera that is unbeatable when considered as a whole with its companion Apps for Smartphone and PC/MacBook.

Excellent camera. The 360 degree recording is amazing! I've used this on the road (using a car mount) while driving through Turkey, in Morrocco capturing some amazing footage. I got too excited when i first purchased it and was recording everything in 360 but i then started to cut down on this because it does consume tonnes of disk space but not everything is required in 360. The App is excellent and the AI tool magically creates you a short small sized clip. Highly recommened!

it does the job as intended. a great product that i recommend to get but i am highly observant and is upset that depending on lighting, movement and addon parts such as protective cover and mode affect the visibility of the stitch lines in the picture which ruins the shot.another major con for me would be that setting the recording to a flat image removes quality on the video because i preferred a less fish eyed perspective as some of the view adjustments in editing made parts of the video nauseating.obtaining the product you will notice how fragile it actually is whilst you see the advertisement of the product being flung aroound you in a circle. the glass looks like it can easily damage as it protrudes out with nothing protecting it from scratches and is recommended you get some sort of protection that is either a quick slip on but risk the chance of you forgetting and treating it like a iphone risking it from scratching the glass the camera lays on or a stick on protective cover but risk ruining the shot or quality of the video due to condensation or the easy to scratch material.preferred if insta360 made the glass lense instead easily removed by it acting like a screw cover then selling the lenses replacement parts instead of being resent for repair as it would cost more and take longer to repair.

First of all this is a great camera. Far better quality than the equivalent priced gopro. However the editing software is poor and lacking features that are required to stitch two or more clips together.This means that if you want to post a 360 video to YouTube then you have to record it all in one go. You can't record one clip in one location and then another clip in another location and join them together.You can if you convert the file to a flat type video and then import that into Premier Pro but that's a extra cost.Sadly until they add this feature the camera is pointless for my application.

Absolutely unreliable piece of tech, occasionally shuts down or stops recording,Then randomly got hot and frozen during time lapse, since then display no longer turns on nor connects to the app over WiFi, only start up chime and led lights that's it.Insta360 tech support recommended sending to Hong Kong for warranty.And I have to pay for postage 😑So no UK based tech support so off to Amazon it went for refund.Imagine if you purchased it for professional use or a planned holiday - your day and trip would be ruined and left in limbo for repair outcomes.Now it does capture amazing perspectives and the best 360 camera out there just don't rely on it , have alternatives ready

Lieferumfang & Erster EindruckIm Lieferumfang befindet sich natürlich die eigentliche Kamera, die Insta360 X3. Des weiteren gibt es das passende USB-C Ladekabel sowie den Akku. Der Akku kann recht einfach eingesetzt sein. Man muss lediglich darauf achten, dass alles richtig einrastet, damit der Akku auch abgedichtet ist. Was wirklich praktisch ist, dass direkt eine weiche Tasche dabei ist, sodass man die Kamera mitnehmen kann ohne das etwas zerkratzt.Zum Starten wird dann eine Micro SD Karte benötigt. Hier würde ich euch mindestens 128GB empfehlen, damit man auch längere Videos aufnehmen kann ohne immer die SD Karte wechseln zu müssen. Nach dem ersten Einschalten habe ich die Kamera mit meinem Smartphone via Insta360 App verbunden. Das hat ohne Probleme funktioniert und daraufhin wurde erstmal ein Software Update installiert. Mein erster Eindruck war sehr gut, die Kamera lässt sich super bedienen und das Display ist ziemlich groß.DisplayDas Display ist im Alltag sehr gut! Es ist viel größer als von anderen Insta360 Kameras und somit sieht man auch viel besser was aufgenommen wird. Durch das große Display sind auch Änderungen im Menü viel einfacher.BedienungMan bedient die Kamera entweder direkt am Display, in dem man durch Wischbewegungen z.B. den Modus ändert. Die eigentliche Aufnahme startet mann dann per Knopf unter dem Display. Neben diesem Knopf befindet sich noch ein weiterer Knopf, der die Perspektive der Linse wechselt. Da wir hier ja eine 360° Kamera haben, sind 2 Linsen vorhanden, die im 360° Video Modus dann simultan aufnehmen. An der Seite gibt es dann noch den Ein- und Ausknopf und einen Q Button. Dieser Q Button ist im Alltag wirklich sehr nützlich. Drückt man auf Q, so kommt ein Schnellzugriff Menü und dort kann man vorgefertigte Presets hinzufügen. Beispielsweise eine Vorlage zum Skifahren, eine Vorlage zum Vloggen, eine Vorlage für Slo Motion und so weiter. Dadurch muss man nicht mehr durch die Menüs und immer seine Settings ändern, sondern erstellt sich einfach die Vorlagen.Film / FotomöglichkeitenWenn man von links nach rechts auf dem Display wischt, dann gelangt man zu den verschiedenen Modi. Beim normalen Videomodus filme ich am liebsten mit einer Auflösung von 5,7K und 30 Frames pro Sekunde. Das sieht super flüssig aus und durch die hohe Auflösung ist das Material sehr klar und detailreich. Neben dem Standard Videomodus gibt es dann noch einen Active HDR Videomodus. Dieser ist besonders sinnvoll, wenn ihr an Orten filmt, wo es viel Dynamikumfang gibt, beispielsweise viele helle und dunkle Stellen. Im Zeitraffermodus können 8K 360 Videos aufgenommen werden. Es gibt noch haufenweise andere Modi wie z.B. TimeShift oder Bullet-Time. Für Bullet Time benötigt ihr allerdings noch ein Bullet Time Zubehörkit von Insta360. Das lohnt sich meiner Meinung nach, denn mit der Time Bullet Funktion bekommt man ganz besondere Aufnahmen hin. Wer Sterne mag, kann sogar per Starlapse Sternschnuppen aufnehmen. Ihr seht schon, dass für jeden etwas dabei ist, sodass man sich auch kreativ austoben kann.AppNeben der Hardware bietet Insta360 noch die passende App an. Über diese kann die Kamera sowohl gesteuert werden, aber damit kann auch das Material von der Kamera ganz einfach und schnell auf das Smartphone übertragen werden. Was ziemlich cool ist, dass das Material direkt in der App angepasst und geschnitten werden kann. Man benötigt dafür keinen PC mehr, alles geht direkt über das Smartphone.Unter dem Menüpunkt Stories gibt es noch die sogenannten Shot Labs. Hier findet man kreative Ideen und Effekte, die man dann mit Hilfe von kurzen Anleitungsvideos ganz einfach nachmachen kann. Somit kann man Videos erstellen, bei denen andere Leute denken, dass diese sehr aufwendig waren. In Wirklichkeit gehen die aber sehr einfach und schnell über die App. Das ist schon magisch.BildqualitätGerade bei einer 360° Kamera musste man in der Vergangenheit oft Abstriche bei der Bildqualität machen. Die Bildqualität der X3 ist nun so gut geworden, dass das die erste 360° Kamera ist, die ich allen Leuten ohne Abstriche empfehlen kann. Durch die 5,7K Auflösung hat man genügend Details, dass man das Video auch ohne Probleme croppen kann. So kann man aus einem 360° Video beispielsweise über die App ein 9:16 Video für Instagram exportieren. Fotos habe ich auch so einige gemacht und war von der Bildqualität überzeugt. Besonders tagsüber bei gutem Licht macht die Kamera sehr gute Fotos und Videos.FazitAlles in allem bin ich begeistert von der Insta360 X3. Ich kann sie auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Die Bildqualität ist super und die vielen Modi haben mich begeistert. Ich würde euch allerdings auf jeden Fall noch einen Invisible Selfiestick von Insta360 und das Bullet Time Zubehör empfehlen. Erst damit kann man alle Möglichkeiten nutzen und noch kreativere Videos erstellen.
Egal ob Einsteiger oder langjähriger Videoshooter. Diese 360 Kamera ist eine absolute Kaufempfehlung.
