It works! It absolutely repels wasps (at least Paper Wasps). I live in the South and always have issues with Paper Wasps building nests around my house. They seem to love building their nests in my fence gate between the wooden slats. I ended up getting stung on my face while opening the gate about 2 Summers ago. Thought I’d give Mighty Mint a try since I hate using the generic wasp spray…smells terrible and loaded with nasty chemicals. I wanted something that prevented the wasps from building nests, rather than killing them after the fact. I used Mighty Mint at the beginning of Spring (BEFORE they start nest building) and carefully sprayed in between all the wooden slats on the fence gate and adjacent slats….no nests all Summer long. I would spray again about once a month since I’m sure its effect wears off in the intense heat and Summer thunderstorms (gets washed away). It does seem to work..I was skeptical but now I am a believer. My only complaint is that the spray bottle itself is on the smaller side, so I went ahead and purchased a bottle of concentrate to replace/mix when it finishes. Also, it smells wonderful but it is on the stronger side. Good idea to spray it when not breezy outside because if you have bad allergies (like me) it may affect you if you get some blowback in your face. Otherwise it’s an awesome product! Definitely worth a try. Update 3-20-2026: Purchased the liquid concentrate Mighty Mint to mix and refill the original spray bottle that I bought a while back. I thought I had bought the concentrate already but apparently forgot. In addition to my fence gate, I sprayed the bottom of my out door chairs (made out of thick plastic) and also bottom of my mailbox. As I was spraying the mailbox a big Paper Wasp started hovering very close to me. I simply stretched my arm out and sprayed that sucker right in the face. He got a face full of Mighty Mint mist. As soon as I sprayed him it flew away in the opposite direction and almost seemed disoriented (like a drunk wasp). I was cracking up! It just proved to me how much they hate this stuff (mint). Love this product, but as I said in my original review, it’s strong. IMHO, best used outdoors.

My fridge broke and over the weekend my landlord replaced it with a fridge that turned out to be infested with roaches! I have a service animal and the landlord's pest control company couldn't guarantee their chemicals were pet-safe. This was recommended to me by a friend. With no choice but to declare war on these kitchen infiltrators, I ordered a bottle at 6am while getting ready for work and I got SAME DAY delivery! I went home and with my battle plans laid out, and launched a ground attack at nightfall. The enemy roaches were quick to respond, sending out their fiercest and biggest soldiers at speeds only witnessed by the gods above! I sprayed every inch of Fort Kitchen, whereupon dozens of roaches met their rightful deaths, quickly and painfully, as I screamed at the top of my lungs and ran into the frontlines of battle, valiantly defending that which is my sacred home! Some say the battle lasted days, others say it lasted minutes. At the end of it all, as the peppermint mist cleared on the horizon of Mt. Trashcan, the casualties of war were made known to all. Dozens upon dozens of carcasses, belly-up in defeat... One fierce general escaped and retreated to higher ground in attempts to launch a sneak attack on Makeup Mountain in Fort Bathroom. My troops attacker with even greater ferocity, fresh off our victorous kills, and General Giant Roach was easily captured in the prison cell of Nearby Padded Envelope, whereupon he was unsuccessfully interrogated in a language of screams only the neighbour's dog could understand, before he was ultimately sentenced to a swift but humane death. The battles were tough and troops were weary as the night turned to dawn. But as the sun rose this morning, a clear message had been sent to all nearby rebels: Mighty Mint is an impenetrable force and if you ever find yourself under attack, you WILL come out victorious... And maaaaybe a little emotionally traumatized. But with the affordability of this product, you can still easily cover the cost of therapy. Also, my entire house smells like that chocolate peppermint patties. And who doesn't love to literally be able to smell their own victory? ;)

Last year, we had a challenge keeping wasps away from the front door. I purchased peppermint oil and poured a small amount on the end of a Swiffer duster. It did seem to deter wasps from flying above the front door. This year, I decided to order a spray because it seems much easier to use. I'm hoping this repels the wasps in both the front and back of the house. I researched how to get rid of these nasty insects and peppermint spray was recommended.

Saw online that roaches dislike the smell of peppermint, so I found this product. Found out the hard way that I don't want to constantly smell peppermint either. And it only keeps the bugs away when you can smell it. So, it works if you can handle living in the smell.
