Solid affordable mech switch kb, finally!
Really happy with this. I've been loyal to my previous keyboard manufacturer of choice until my last one was riddled with keyboard chatter. Completely broke my trust when I was paying premium prices. Not often you see mechanical keyboards at this price but finally wanting to give it a try and it's been really good. Everything looked what you'd get in terms of a decent quality keyboard, well packaged etc. Even included a pack of 4 replacement red switches which you don't often get (not sure if that's reassuring or worrying). The keyboard itself is sufficiently heavy and sturdy feel that it's a well built board, looks good and the keys feel good too, fairly quie action too if you plan on using it without headphones or if noise is a concern. Despite being a full size keyboard it actually does a good job of not being too bulky, there's no wasted real estate around the edges or above the F keys. Admittedly there aren't the luxury touches like audio dials or extra usb slots, but I never really used them and they were never really that realiable on other models I owned anyway. I haven't looked at the software yet for RGB control but at least I don't have one key that is completely out of sync with the rest of the pattern anymore. It doesn't come with a wrist rest but you can't argue at this price. Even buying the separate compatible branded rest came to under ยฃ55 total which is a steal for a genuine red switch mech kb. It's soft, comfortable and solid, no clips or attachments but stays in place against the on without a hint of movement. I'd highly recommend anyone give it a try if youre looking for an affordable mech switch board.

Amazingly good for the price point
The precise model of this keyboard is the Red Dragon K565 RUDRA, something that isn't immediately apparent from the description. I'm a long-time user of a Cherry MX Red mechanical keyboard, having owned and used several high-end keyboards over the last 15 years. I've used nothing other than a cherry red mechanical for these last 15 years. I bought this keyboard as a backup and have been completely blown away by how good it is for the price. The keyboard itself is quite compact and doesn't occupy much space on the desktop. It has a solid, anodised aluminium backplate that makes it feel quite heavy and good quality, while the key caps themselves are standard profile and the lettering nicely transparent, which allows the backlight to shine through properly. The RGB seems a little limited in its ability to display a wide palette of colours, but it can do pretty much anything even high-end keyboards can. I prefer a solid colour backlight rather than any of the garish cycling modes and the refreshingly simply software that doesn't need to run all the time allows an easy configuration. You can even override colours for individual keys. The keyboard is this cheap since it uses a Chinese manufactured clone of the Cherry Red swithces, Outemu. These switches feel pretty good, although to me they feel a little different to the branded Cherry switches, despite having almost identical specifications. The Cherry switches feel just a little more precise, although the difference is barely noticeable. Perhaps it's just better machining tolerance on the cherry switches that make the difference, but they're remakably good for the price anyway. If you're thinking of trying out a mechanical keyboard, or looking for a backup keyboard, you won't go wrong with this one. Of course, I can't speak to the longevity of the keys themselves: time will tell. Top marks for price / performance on this keyboard. UPDATE: one year and three months from purchase, it's still going strong. Not had a day's problem and holding up perfectly with around 10 hours a day usage on average. If I could give it another star I would. Just bought a second one.

Not perfect but recommended on a budget.
This is a good quality keyboard, especially for the money. Solid feeling and the keys have a very positive feel without being too noisy. The lighting is easy to configure using the keyboard alone without software. This is a huge plus as I don't use Windows very much and most of these things have windows only software. Mine came with four spare key switches and a tool to remove the caps and the switches, a very nice touch. If you are in a room with other people it might be a little annoying to them as it isn't as quiet as a membrane keyboard. An undocumented feature, maybe I just missed it, is you can lock the Windows and the Menu keys by pressing Fn+Win and unlock them by pressing this combination again. This is a thoughtful feature that I like a lot as I don't really use these keys. I'd prefer they werent there and the spacebar expanded to fill the empty space but this is the next best thing. I have two minor complaints. The font used on the keycaps is ghastly. That is personal preference though. The shifted keys have the symbols beside (to the left) of the unshifted key. This is also a little annoying but seems to be normal for these cheap chinese keyboards. I can only speculate as to why this is. Despite these annoyances, it is a perfectly usable keyboard and great value for the money.

Looks really cool and works well for my gaming.
Really solid keyboard. The keys feel smooth and responsive, great for both gaming and typing. The rainbow backlight looks brilliant and adds a nice touch without being too flashy and helps visibility at night. Build quality is impressive, with a sturdy frame and durable keycaps that havenโt worn down with use. Itโs plug and play, worked straight away on an outdated desktop PC with no faff. Reliable, feels good to use and looks the part, this is a great pick. Definitely worth it for the price. Side note, it is a bit noisy, definitely not a silent keyboard.

Love, love, love this keyboard, especially for the price
The typing feels natural and comfortable. It's not terribly loud, but I wouldn't want to use it in a room I was sharing with people who didn't want to listen to typing. That's of course normal for this type of keyboard. Superficial point but I do like the font they used for the keys, kind of techno retro looking. They're nicely lit and easy to read. The one thing that bugs me about it is that the capslock indicator is placed so that I have to lean well forward to see if it's lit, as it's flat and the num keys in front of it are much taller. That's a small niggle, but if they'd put the indicator labels beneath instead of above the indicator lights, the lights would be easier to see. If you're super tall or less of a sloucher than me, it might not be an issue at all. Again, a very small complaint, especially considering how great this keyboard is for the price. I bought this for my gaming computer and another much more expensive one specifically touted for speed typing for my work computer, and honestly this one feels just as great for typing. I could have saved some cash just buying two of these.

Excellent keyboard
I used to use a more expensive Logitech G413 keyboard for gaming and work but it eventually broke and the Romer-G switches could not be changed. I saw this one had the same look to it with similar specs and is hot swappable so if any switches break in the future it would be an easy fix with the added bonus of RGB for only half the cost. I was surprised with the build quality and how easy it is to mod this keyboard if you wish to do so. It is sturdy and made of metal, has decent software support for RGB control / macros and actually feels nicer and smoother to type on than the Logitech one I had that cost twice as much! I highly recommend this keyboard because you won't get a better one for the price unless you up your budget considerably. It's excellent for gaming and general use/work. It's not very noisy because of the red linear switches but because they are hot swappable you can easily swap them out for more quiet ones.

Horrible Font, Warped Base, But I don't Hate It
Horrible font! Why oh why would they use such a terrible looking (and difficult to read) font? The base appears to be slightly warped so the keyboard isn't totally flat. However, overall it is quite a decent keyboard for the money. The software lets you assign media keys to any key you like which is good. In custom lighting modes the Fn key doesn't light up which is a bit strange. Also, in custom lighting mode it's very difficult to get the exact colour you want - essentially you have to choose from 9 basic colours. Overall - it's a cheap and cheerful mechanical keyboard with quite a nice tactile feel to the keys.
