You must have hands the size of a 6 year old to install this blend-door. Period.
Question #1: When you buy work gloves, do you shop in the Children's department? Question #2: Do you have a supply of bandages and a current tetanus vaccine on board for the 30+ small razor cuts on your knuckles, fingers and wrists? If so, you are qualified to remove and install this blend door actuator part located deep within the bowls of the entrance to that Honda no-man land called: The Honda Pilot passenger side dash board. Seems easy... dash pieces remove quickly, easily.... glove box, and lower plastic dash cover all pops off with only a few Phillips head screws. "But then begins the journey in your head"... to figure out how to get your hands into the tiny passage areas, past the razor-sharp metal braces and gigantic bulky air vent tubes. If your hands are the size of a 6 year old, you will have no issues at all.... but normal sized hands, forget it. Plan on spending some time taping up the sharp metal edges inside the dash before you even start. Which edges you ask?.... all of the, you can't miss them. When you gut the passenger side dash, you will notice they almost act like they are waiting to surprise you with their razor sharp back edges.... blocking every access area and holding up the airbag (which realistically could cut your head off in less than 1,000 of a quarter of a second)... don't mess with wires you don't understand under there!!!!!! Think this thing through... consider trading in your Honda.... seriously, it's that difficult of a job.... and it may be worth opening up your dash, and having your 6 year old actually do the removal and install of the actuator. Think of it as a family activity! In reality, the engineers at Honda need to be gathered up around one of these 2011 Honda Pilots and forced to remove and install this actuator themselves, blindfolded, with firefighters gloves. That's what it's like if you use your hands to make a living... nobody over the age of 6 has hands small enough to do this job.... Perhaps maybe the Honda engineers will think twice about the consequences of removal before they get all "Value-Engineering Crazy" as they literally Tetris the components required under the dashboard. Oh... and the replacement part went in easily, no grease or lube provided for the actuator, but that's a minor deal. It works like it should, and it appears to be an exact OEM replica part... for $54 bucks, it's a good investment. It's been in now for 2 days, and so far so good.... but really, truly, this may be a job for a mechanic. If you have any type of arthritis, forget it. My fingers and knuckles would not work in those tight spots - fingers can reach, wrists get cut from the framework, and only a collection of small, universal socket swivels and long extensions will allow you to complete this hellish install. Only an hour they say for the install... sure, perhaps if it's the second one you install... where you know exactly what to remove, and how.... but for me, it was a 3 hour ordeal that only involved me throwing the glove box out into the yard as a sign of complete and udder frustration. Oh yeah, and the blood cleanup will require lots of paper towels. Other than that, it's nearly as much fun as a tooth extraction without Novocain. Order it, keep it on hand... it will fail... Honda guarantees it by placing it where nobody can reach it. I pray it lasts and works!

Perfect Fix for My 2008 Acura MDX — Quiet, Precise, and a Lifesaver
I normally don’t leave long reviews, but this little part deserves one. My 2008 Acura MDX had been driving me insane with that classic click-click-click behind the dash every time I adjusted the airflow. The mode door actuator finally gave out, and my vents were stuck blowing air in the wrong direction. Not fun in Florida heat. Installation: I’m mechanically handy but no professional mechanic, and this actuator was very straightforward. The part lined up perfectly with the factory mounting holes, the electrical connector snapped in securely, and it fit my MDX without any modification. I watched one quick YouTube video and had the job done in under 30 minutes. Performance: Instant difference. As soon as I reconnected the battery, the actuator calibrated itself and the airflow started switching smoothly between floor, dash, and defrost like the car was brand-new. No grinding, no hesitation, no clicking. It’s also noticeably quieter than the old factory one. Build Quality: Feels solidly made. The gear movement is tight and precise, not flimsy like some of the cheaper replacements out there. Considering how buried these things are in the dash, I’m glad I won’t be revisiting this repair anytime soon. Value: Dealership wanted to charge hundreds for the same fix. This part cost a fraction of that, and honestly performs just as well as OEM. If you’ve got an older Acura or Honda with HVAC doors acting up, this actuator is absolutely worth it. Smooth operation, easy installation, and fixed one of the most annoying problems my MDX had. Highly recommend.

Desafortunadamente la pieza se parece, pero no le quedó a una Ford Explorer 2007, es una lástima, ya que el vendedor es agradable y la entrega fue súper rápida
