Furinno Basic 3-Tier Book Shelf with Open Shelves, French Oak

Nice addition to my doggy Lounge Supply setup. The bookcase is in the center of the photo ....nice and sturdy and was easy to put together. I left the back off of the bookcase so that I can push the cubes further back. The cubes are a little snug at 10.5x10.5 x 11. Not the right size ...I had to fold the interior bottom cardboard frame of the cubes to get them to fit.. it worked out okay. They can still slide in and out pretty easily. I would suggest getting cubes that are no wider than 10 inches....good luck with that I couldn't find any.

This is a 5 star for me. I’ve been looking for a bookshelf that can hold all of my Berserk books and along side my Vinland Saga soon-to-be collection. I’m just hoping it stays put and sturdy since I’m seeing slight bending, but the mangas are heavy, so it’s to be expected.

I have purchased multiple bookshelves over the years and they all have their pros and cons. I would say this one is arguably the worst but it's still not a bad choice. I may add a slightly longer board over the top which will take care of some of the issues that I have with it. I also may end up painting it which ditto. Pros Easy to put together, the backing is more solid than the usual cardboard, reasonable price, decent quality It comes with the cutest most clever tool for nailing in the backboard. I'm going to keep it for other uses. During the most awkward phase of assembly, it was easy to find the screw holes Cons It's not obvious which end should be considered the top. It doesn't matter a whole lot because the top or bottom shelf isn't flush with the top of the sides, but you have to choose between a half inch drop or a little bit less. That's another con, the top isn't flush with the sides, but that might be typical of most bookshelves Another thing that makes it difficult to determine which is the top and the bottom is that the two top and bottom boards are both single-sided. It is a short three shelf unit but it would still be nice if one end or the other had been finished on both sides Though thick, the backing is taped together. I could see that being a possible issue in future I got the backing just a tad bit off so it sticks up just the slightest bit and what I chose to be the top. I'd prefer it would sit below but I'm not pulling out all of those nails to start over.

My wife and I put this together in about a half an hour..The instructions were simple and all the parts were accounted for..The materials are very good, not cheap like other brands I've seen in the past..We use our book shelf for our DVDs and are both satisfied with our purchase...The color we chose pretty much matches our wooden floor in our living room..I'd like to purchase another one or two possibly for my hardcover and paperback books..Great purchase for the price and quality of the item..The sturdiness of the book shelf is quite nice and I'm sure it'll fit my needs perfectly for what I'm using it for..

Recently moved and my prior cabinet bookshelves didnt survive the journey so I needed something even if just temporary to house my huge collection of design books. Wanted something inexpensive yet capable and these seed to fit the bill. Ordered two seperate styles, the first was a four shelf version, second was a three shelf. Was seriously disapointed in the four shelf version for the individual shelves arent adjustable and cant fit taller(average) books upright. They have to be put in on their sides which is damaging for paperback ones. Weirdly the three shelf version is the same height yet easily fits books upright with even a little extra space above them. Obviously I will never order the four shelf version again for this reason. Also keep in mind these are particle board and already the four shelf version, the shelves are already "bowing" from weight of my books. Disappointing. The three shelf version upon arrival was damaged. Has a chunk split upon the top right corner and various "chips" upon the side walls and shelves. I ordered a "used" good condition one so guess I cant really complain. As such the pricing was under thirty bucks and guess its worth what was paid. Honestly though even in new condition these are not worth more than thirty bucks. Theyre also a adhesive laminate paper over bare particle board and in some spots the adhesive laminate paper is already peeling up. Will definitely be replacing these at a later date with something of better quality and thicker more sturdy shelves. If you dont need them to store a lot of books, or just for displaying items they should work ok. They were very easy to assemble by myself, even if not all the predrilled holes were drilled correctly. Some werent drilled at all. They did arrive pretty quickly. overall they will do whats needed for now but honestly if you can afford something more durable I would choose elsewise. Definitely a cheaply built product not meant to last. They do look nice when assembled at least.

Cute quick bookshelf. I bought this to set on my desk giving me storage going Verticle for my books and nick knacks. Easy to put together, space saving for work space, student desk.

My wife and I thought this would be a good shelf for in our bathroom to replace and old decrepit wicker one. I have assembled this type of product before, and this took about the usual time as others to complete. One thing we immediately noticed, as other reviewers have mentioned, was when you try to remove the labels on the side walls, it pulls the faux wood like paper covering off. We simply left the second label on it. The shelf looked nice in our bathroom but within hours we both began noticing a very disagreeable smell. Thinking this would dissipate within a day or two, we put up with it. After two days, neither of us could stand it any longer and talked about sitting it in our garage for a week or so to see if the outgassing would stop. After 10 days in the garage, we brought it back into the house only to remove it once again within a few hours. The smell was not confined to the bathroom either. I have a home office across the hallway and a bit diagonal to the bathroom door and I generally have my door closed. The smell permeated thru the heat vents or just general air flow, and it was almost as bad in my office as it was being in the bathroom which is about 15-20 feet away. We have now taken the shelf back out to the garage and are going to try to use it in our basement unless it outgasses from there too much and permeates the entire house. If we cannot use it in the basement, we will try to rearrange our garage and use it there. I read that it was returnable within 30 days but that is not an option considering you would have to disassemble it with all the screws and pull all the nails from the back boards which makes returning simply not an option. As I mentioned earlier, I have assembled this type of shelf unit, much larger in size, multiple times and have never experienced the strong odor this unit gives off. I really wish I could have rated this better as the shelf did look nice in our bathroom, but it is simply not something I would recommend anyone else purchasing.

Bookshelf done what it needs be there till we find something that will last. We would not recommend them for long-term
