I love this tool. It's use is so far reaching. I've taken it to work and used it to level equipment. I've used it to align saw blades. We've hung pictures. Laid flooring. The laser comes with atri-pod that's easy to use. It's completely adjustable and versatile. The laser is bright. Even in daylight it has great lumen. The self leveling is the best feature.I would highly suggest this for any application. It will not fall you. Great buy.

I got this laser level for small projects around the house like hanging pictures, aligning shelves, and working on some DIY projects where getting a straight line by eye is more trouble than it should be. So far I'm impressed with it. The green laser is brighter than the red laser level I have used before and I can still see the lines clearly in a well lit room(check the image with chandelier, that's my house ceiling in a day time). There are four brightness settings, which is useful when the room lighting changes. It projects cross line which gives both horizontal and vertical references without having to reposition the unit. The self leveling feature is straightforward. Once the pendulum is unlocked and the unit is within its leveling range, it settles on its own. I also like having a manual mode for projects where I need an angled reference rather than a level line. It came with tripod which is better than I expected for something bundled with the laser. The height can be adjusted and the head allows me to swivel and tilt the laser into the position I need. Moreover, it has a hook at the bottom to add some weight to it for additional stability. Yes, the tripod could also be used with a DSLR. There are a couple of things to keep in mind. The self leveling range is limited to 4 degrees and the 100 foot visibility claim is more realistic under favorable lighting conditions. Overall, this has been a very useful addition to my DIY tools. It is easy to set up, versatile, and the bright green beam makes alignment considerably easier.

Hard to read outside under a shed. Pain to get set up. The leveling bubble is hidden under the laser light and is impossible to check without the light shining in your face. Tripod is flimsy. The on/off switch is under the laser light and light intensity selection button is on top of the unit and everything moves when changing intensity. Probably good for hanging pictures if you can ever get it to settle where you want it.

This is super easy to put together and very self explanatory to use! Build quality appears to be excellent - it is sturdy. I have not tested the waterproof capability as claimed but the quality of the construction is in line with other products that I own that make the same claims - I would fully expect this to resist rain showers and humidity for outdoor use. The tripod is fully adjustable, solid, and very easy to level. The most impressive part is the brightness of the laser lines - even at a distance and in ambient sunlight they are crisp, bright, and very easy to see. I have used this to ensure level on my home built aquarium stand construction projects, for hanging pictures and flags, and for installing shelves around the house.
