Vgate vLinker MC+ Bluetooth OBD2 Car Diagnostic Scan Tool for iOS, Android & Windows

Excellent OBD scanner at a brilliant price. I considered this against other scanners and for the price of the listing it was a great deal. The vGate vLinker MC+ connects quickly and performs read/writes operations at a blazingly fast speed which is great as I'm not sat there concerned how long it is taking. Obviously, you'll need a dedicated app to interface for your car's system - don't expect to just plug in, download any random app and get going - do your research! For example, FORDs like FORSCAN, Bimmerlink for BMW, Jeeps work with JScan/Alfa OBD, etc... You're paying for the wireless scanner that the app uses to communicate with your car! With that aside, it instantly connects to my phone when powered, and has native compatibility with many apps, the manual even comes with a little booklet of apps to download. For me, it connected with JScan for my 2021 Jeep Renegade with ease and was able to read all codes, OBD information, etc, and was able to write data to the system too (to enable hidden features, etc. note FCA vehicles 2018+ need a security bypass module). Overall, 100% worth the money, a must get even for the minor car lover, great to just leave in the boot just in case you need it some day.

Plug & Play. Works perfectly on a Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro using the TuneECU App (from TuneECU.net not your app store) on Android phone/tablet. Plugs directly into the socket under your seat. Works on iOS too, for those on the dark side 🙄 Easy registration, setup and use. Does what it says on the tin...gives me all the diagnostics I need. Very happy 👍

If you need to diagnose a fault on you car you will need an OBD reader. This is a more advanced reader than the cheap Chinese readers on ebay so you will be able to access the more advanced features and diagnostics of a modern car. you will need an APP from the google playstore (other providers are available!) to use it. I primarily bought this to enable extra menus on my Insignia dash which has worked a treat using OPL Monitor, an app specifically for Vauxhall/Opel cars. it comes with a guide to show some of the apps that work with the dongle like Forscan, Bimmerlink etc.. An essential bit of kit for the home mechanic or person who likes to tinker with vehicle menus and settings !

Pairing it with android and running the firmware updater took me several attempts, but once this was sorted, it has worked seamlessly

Yeah, I know it's not much of an opening line but if you've been through a few ELM dongles you'll know exactly what I mean. Plugged it in (BMW E39), paired it with the phone (and Car Scanner Pro) and everything fired up perfectly...and quickly too. I guess that's pretty much all you need to know!
