Awesome sauce. We have been trying to make our own char siu sauce and it can be a bit unnerving when you’re not too sure. This product has all the ingredients and the best flavor. It was an excellent value as well. I will be ordering again.

Great product for making bbq pork

I've been making steam pork buns a lot lately and decided to make charsiu pork buns. I didn't want to make the marinade from scratch as I wanted to save time, so I bought this. The consistency is like honey. Very thick and sticky. I added a little bit of water to make it easier to marinade the pork. After bbqing the pork, it came out looking and tasting delicious. I used the leftover marinade to make the glazed for the pork bun fillings. It was a little too sweet for my liking and wanted a savory taste to it, so I added more salt.. but I mistakenly mistaken the sugar for salt. 🤣 I was wandering why I couldn't taste the salt and it just kept getting sweeter. Then I realized it was sugar and not salt. 😅🤣 it still turned out great, just a little too sweet. If I didn't add the sugar, the glaze itself is perfect. Tastes good but I feel like it could be better. I just tried the NOH powder brand and this is definitely better than the NOH one. I do feel that the taste is lacking something though. All you can taste is sweet. It tastes a bit weird, that's why I tried adding salt to see if I can mask it or something 😅 Other than that, I think it still tastes good. I also feel that the price is ridiculously high for a small jar. I can buy this at the asian store for a couple dollars but the closest asian store is two hours away. Although, I might try this again in the future.

This is the best Chinese barbecue sauce ever! I use it as part of a recipe to make amazing spare ribs. 1/3 of a cup of Lee Kum Kee Char Siu Sauce, 1/3 of a cup of Lee Kum Kee Black Bean Garlic Sauce, 1/3 of a cup of honey, and a few cloves of crushed garlic blended as a marinade, and voila! Perfection! The product is consistently good and goes well in many recipes. It is a thick sauce that clings well to your food, and is ideal as an accent for your ethnic food.

Very Salty. -- there are hints of other flavors but its hard to get past the high concentration of saltiness.

I saw this recipe that I wanted to try but I couldn't find this in our local grocery store. But checked on Amazon and sure enough I found it. Great price and flavor!
