I’m a makeup artist student. I was recommended by my instructor to read this book to learn Color theory more in depth. This is a very practical book and it’s nice to keep it in my reference books collection

Acquistato, come testo di riferimento, dopo il corso di truccatore della Croce Rossa. Scritto in un inglese comprensibile. Ricco di illustrazioni e fotografie utilissime. Consigliatissimo, anche a chi si diletta di fotografia e video.

I bought this book thinking that it was going to help me understand colors that look flattering on people using make up artistry wow I was really impressed because it offers so much more. It is one of the most interesting books. I’ve purchased this year. It’s beautifully packaged and so aesthetically pleasing. It offers you so much information that has nothing to do necessarily with make up, but has to do with using pigments and colors to create certain looks and I would recommend it to aspiring artists interior designers people that are interested in learning about different forms of art and people that are interested in photography. It is written for somebody that’s intelligent and it makes a great gift. I gave it to my sister for her coffee table. Not only has it help me with my make up artist skills it , gotten me back into oil painting again and I am better understanding the use of color just with this book. It’s really cool. It also helps you understand how to use different art forms and themes to develop color theories of your own and I’m not quite sure why it’s specifically advertised as a make up artistry book because it’s so much more than that so for anybody that interested in art photography color theory styles, and the psychological effects of color this book is for you. I do admit that I had a hard time getting into learning how to mix the different pigments that they discuss to create my own make up colors, but once I read through it again. I think I’ll have a better grasp of it , what’s great about that use make up on myself much more effectively so I was using all the wrong colors and now that I have the right colors I went from looking pretty shabby to looking pretty great. For example, I have blue eyes and I want to make them look bluer I’ve never known how to really do that except to use blue colors , however what I learned from this book was that using colors with orange is the greatest way to bring out the blue because it’s opposite on the color scale. There are some complex different topics that discuss color scales and different artistry however it’s just such a cool book and I’m actually using it while I’m remodeling my house to help me determine colors and the feeling that I want to get. If you want some thing that is beautifully written offers amazing information and is a myriad of themes and topics this is the book for you. By the way, you will be able to read through it quickly and find some wonderful make up tips for yourself and it’s pretty amazing how colors affect the way you look for example the color orange is extremely flattering with lighting , that is why lots of beautiful pictures are taken with orange ranges of colors so I won’t go into this too much further but it’s awesome book and I think it’s definitely a best seller. It should be on the seller list. I would be ashamed to recommend it to a talented artist or photographer because it is sophisticated as
