When Chris (Daniel Kaluuya), a young African-American man, visits his white girlfriend's (Allison Williams) family estate, he becomes ensnared in the more sinister, real reason for the invitation. At first, Chris reads the family's overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined. This speculative thriller from Blumhouse (producers of The Visit, Insidious series and The Gift) and the mind of Jordan Peele (Key & Peele) is equal parts gripping thriller and provocative commentary. Review: Reasonable price - Great movie, excellent condition Review: False negative hype - When this first came out---all I heard was people (who likely never saw it) bad-mouthing it as some BLM based driven move and just an agenda. Finally bought a copy (April 2025) and this is no such thing---Wonderful movie and acted very well....spooky in the way it tugs at the nerves, and plot deep enough to be worthy of a Hitchcock move. Remove any social aspect from you mind---creepy film and well worth the purchase.

This Is One of the GREATEST Films EVER!!!
I have no words to describe how amazingly brilliant Get Out was. It isn't just a movie, it is what film was intended to be. Excellently directed, exciting camera work, the acting is perfection, and the script is a dream. I am NOT a horror fan so I was a bit reluctant to see Get Out. My son who doesn't seem to like anything raved about it so I purchased the DVD (on Amazon, natch!) and was not disappointed. I've watched Get Out maybe 14 times and with each viewing, I learn something new. In the grand tradition of not "Spoiling" the movie, I won't talk about all the nuanced brilliance of Jordan Peele's directorial debut. Just know this: Regardless of your sex, race, socio-economic or political proclivities, this movie is indeed for you. It will open your eyes, entertain you, Open Your Eyes, thrill you, and best of all, OPEN YOUR EYES! Calling this brilliant film a "Social Horror Thriller" is definitely appropriate. It's one you need to see, and you need to see it at least twice. Once to view, and again to study and pick up on nuances. I cannot recommend it highly enough. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being "OMG, this is Awesome!!!", I give Get Out a score of 48! Yes, it is that good. Don't let those who have ulterior motives scare you away from Get Out. Leave your sensitivities at the door and come on in to Get Out. :o)

Great Thriller
Great thriller with a very disturbing theme. The alternate ending should remain as that. The original ending was way better.

Movie itself is amazing, though disc case had chipped corners.
So the movie was great, one of the best horror movies of all time. Though the case had chipped corners. It wasn’t enough to return it so I’m just going to have to deal with it but everything else about the product (disc, digital code, etc.) was great.

Psychological Thriller/Horror
Reasonably priced and it takes various twists and turns I was not expecting. I bought it because I'm an Allison Williams fan and was not disappointed. This is a typical Blumhouse movie with an unusual plot and unusual characters.

Jordan Peele Mastepiece
“Get Out” is a Jordan Peele masterpiece—but not for Trump’s people, who will neither like it nor understand it since they would not be in on the joke. While proporting to be a horror film, it is much more a satirical biting political comedy that lampoons the self-righteous racial sensitivities of liberal white people. White liberals LOVE black people but practice a subtle form of racism that treats blacks as objects to be added to one’s personal collection as trophies of liberal “wokeness” rather than people perfectly capable of autonomously piloting their own lives without white liberal fawning. White people who view this film are compelled uncomfortably to do some deep soul-searching about just whose agenda is being served by their white liberal racial agenda and its paternalistic programs. I suspect that educated blacks would find this over-the-top exaggerated roasting of white sensitivities pretty funny. But for white liberals, there is also a serious challenge to rethink values and actions, remaking racial relations, no matter how benign the intentions, no longer a program to maintain white control over black people’s lives.
