Tailpiece Cylinder Lock for Weiser, Kwikset and Weslock Models

I recently purchased a lock cylinder for my sliding patio door, and overall, I am very satisfied with the product. The installation process was straightforward, although it did require a bit of additional effort. The most challenging part was cutting through the tail, which I accomplished using an oscillating multi-tool. Despite this minor hurdle, the rest of the installation went smoothly, and the lock cylinder fit perfectly into the existing hole in my door. The lock cylinder appears to be of high-quality construction, which is reassuring for the security of my home. Worked as described and better

I had been holding off replacing the cylinder in my Pella sliding door because Pella was asking for a ridiculous amount of money for a poorly made product. I had no idea there were generic cylinders out there. This one fit and operates perfectly and a great value for the money.

Do not buy if needed for Kwikest keys. The key pattern does not match that brand. Even though the packaging says it is, its not. It's actually for Sledge keys.

I had lost the keys for my old lock. I measured carefully and it matched the descripton so I ordered this lock cylinder. It arrived the next day, and I installed it, simple but not quite as simple as one might think. Since it was made to fit multiple applications, the tail piece must be cut to length. Too long and it will bind up. Too short and it will not lock or unlock. It doesn't have to be perfect, just understand the proper length may fall between the score marks. Mine did so I cut it with a hacksaw. when assemblying the key must be turned to the proper orentation. 50/50 chance of getting it right the first time. Wrong and you can't get the key out. After several attemps (my fault not the locks) I got it right, and it works easily and smoothly. Although it says no tools required, I used a screwdriver, a hack saw, and a file to smooth the cut edge. I am pleased with it and do recommend it.

Very good product and easy to install

Fit newer Pella sliding door perfectly. Just needed to clip the end for the right length.

My maintenance staff mentioned that if the key binds up and won't turn, you need to trim more off the end of the tailpiece
