I am writing this after looking preremptorily at the goods. I don't understand previous criticisms but maybe they'll appear in time? The bag is strong it'd seem and a good inner finish (rough so the bag won't get damaged by sharper goods). The shoulder strap is separate so can be taken off. There is a smell of leather. It isnt animal urine but finishing. It will go shortly I should have thought. This is only a first consideration of the bag though. I think it seems a good buy particularly for the price. As time tells it may be a matter of time to see. It appears good leather. It appears durable and the finish is good. It might be slightly too big but we'll see.

Great duffle bag. Plenty of room to bring enough clothes for a long weekend. It looks good and smells of rich leather. Cannot recommend it enough.

I received this bag yesterday and it was delivered promptly. I am very happy with the quality of this bag as it seems very robust and well made and should hopefully last some years with a bit of care to the leather. Yes this bag does have a certain smell but I didn't find it overwhelming and after only one day it seems to be dissipating so no problems there. I would definitely recommend this bag for the price and I look forward to using it for many years to come.

Brought this for my grandson, a signed scholar at our local premiership team. He will now travel all over the world, in his football career. I brought him this carrier so when he want to be incognito (not on football duties and carrying football team bags) he can sneak away and take a bit of me with him and still look classy. I have no doubt this will travel to all sorts of places and last him a life time, and still look classy. He was thrilled with it, and the thought behind it, I am grateful for the opportunity to not spend a fortune but give a gift for a lifetime xxxx

Excellent purchase for me well worth the money

Was looking for a decent weekend bag saw this one among many, read lots of mixed reviews and decided to order it. The bag was delivered next day and when opened it looked Evian better than in the photo, the bag itself is very well made nice size nice Colour and already had quite a lot of admirers. I think the price of the bag is reflected in the quality and looked after it will last a lifetime. Inside the bag is a nice letter from the people who made it explaining how it’s made and how to look after it. would I buy this again most definitely.

Great bag but beware it smells of tanning process . I’ve tried everything to get rid of the smell but it won’t work. The bag is great size and looks perfect but makes clothes smell of the tanning process which is less than desirable really

I got this bag as a gift for my husband; we take a lot of shorter 2-3 day trips so we don't often need to pack a bag that's really large. This bag is awesome! It's the perfect size for a shorter trip, it's durable and well-constructed. The zippers are sturdy and the stitching promises to give a long life of service. It's got pockets on the side for shoes or shaving kit or whatever, and the little pocket across the front is handy for small things he needs to get quickly without digging through the whole bag. The handles (one long shoulder strap, two shorter handles on top, and one on the side) make this bag really convenient to carry and haul around. No matter how you grab it, there's always a handle handy! I'd say this bag was a good purchase; he's given up his ugly old boring canvas duffel bags and he's looking forward to using this bag on our travels for many years to come!

This leather duffle bag represent very good value for money. I've applied leather conditioner to ensure it keeps its nice visual appearance and already have had favourable remarks from people who have seen it. Suggetions to Manufacturer: 1)Would appreciate a removable base to be supplied with the bag to ensure it keeps it shape when full. 2) The long leather strap would really benefit if it had a clip on each end to make it removable if / when people don't wish to have this strap on smaller trips.
