Was able to transfer components from the old to the new. The battery in the old case was snugg but easily removed. But the new back case was very tight and battery didn’t want to seat properly. It finally seated but with some force. Works as before. Am going to order another very soon. Will wait about 10 day working with this one first. 3 Stars for now. Will update. (Update). Got second one as I’ve got 2 key fobs. Went as well as the first. Think they will last at least as long as the originals (10 Year). Unless you got kids, then 3-4 years MAX. (Update) June 27 2018, key fobs are working great, no problems. Nice to have new fobs that work flawlessly as these do. Didn’t have to have anything reprogrammed through Chevy. That alone saved me 100$. I have 2 now and if I need new ones I know where to go and where to tell my friends to go. Update (22 March 2020). I’m finding that one drop does them in. However, I’m not dropping them often but when I do it’s time for a new case. I rather be purchasing a new case than replacing the electronics inside, they are expensive as all get out. Especially from the dealer. Still a good product. Update (21 April 2020) I will buy again and again. I dropped one again so I really need to get a grip on things. Updated (8 November 2021) when I snap the battery in place it stays put well but the constant pressure on it breaks the plastic piece after a time. One lasted a year and another 6 months. But still hugely cheaper than the alternative and absolutely still worth the 6 dollars and some change. Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!!

Cheap quality. Did not fit circuit board from OEM case. Finally able to get it to fit with slight modifications. Cases are cracked and no longer stayed secured. Do not waste your money.

I was tired of my fob only working when I was literally standing next to the car. I dropped it too many times and cracked it. I also hated that the pictures on the buttons wore off so I often locked the car when I meant to unlock it. It was easy to swap out old shell for new one (took me around 2 mins.). Now it works from work building to parking lot. I should have done this a long time ago! Just remember it’s only the shell/vase.

I'm hard on key fobs. I drop them, smash them in my pocket, etc. The original fob had been super glued to keep it alive and even then I had to pinch it just right to get it to work. This one was a tight fit at first to get it sealed up, but works great. Given the price, if it fails completely I'll just buy another one. I know I'm partly to blame for the crack so I don't mind spending a couple of bucks to have a working fob.

My original key fob cover was cracked and no longer weather proof. This aftermarket cover is slightly thicker than GMC OEM key fob cover (more room inside). I had to shim under the battery with folded paper to get it to make reliable contact. Frustrating at first, but working fine now. Also - I used the original keypad, to ensure the same contact points on the circuit board. It’s been dependable for a few months now.

Plastic broke on original and cam off my keychain. Replaced with new plastic shell in a minute. No issue.

This is the 2nd one I've purchased in a 3 month period due to back panel breaking easily. Cheaply made but works in a pinch

I purchased 2 of these as the key fob cases I had, the backs had broken. After receiving these, I transfer the operating circuit to these but could not get it to snap together even though it was identical to my old ones. After fooling with it and not getting it to snap shut I finally had to use the front part of my old case with back of the new one. Once I did that it snapped together just fine, Not sure what was going on with these new ones.
