My favorite pastels and these metallics are gorgeous! I love to pop a little gold or copper in my work. This is the only set I've ordered where I got the right colors. Yay! The other 3 sets I've ordered had some of the wrong colors. I see a lot of reviewers complaining about broken compacts. I think seller is the issue. You can get pan pastels at Blick for less money and they pack like they are planning to drop it from a highrise. Lots of bubble wrap. I have never gotten any broken compacts when I order from Blick. However, it does take a bit longer and free shipping is only over $79.

I am blown away. The pigment is super concentrated. They are so soft and smooth. They are a dream and easy to use, blend and add color as lightly or as completely as desired. No pastels compare to these. I just got more colors. The included tools work great, too. They seem pricey, but are so concentrated, they will last a very long time. A general note for pan pastels... I definitely recommend using the tools that are specifically for pan pastels. I originally thought any make-up applicators would be fine, but the specifically designed ones really outperform anything else and clean easily. If you're going to go for these super good pastels, go ahead and use the right tools, too.

Purchased this pearlescent PanPastel stack after finding such enjoyment with a previous order of the basic colors set. They apply easily with the included applicators, and they blend silky smooth onto sanded art paper (you can even use your fingers to further blend, smudge, spread, and blur section edges together)! My only issue is that the top “Blue” color in the stack arrived broken, so twisting the cap off exposed tons of powdery crumbles - like what would result from a dropped palette of eyeshadow. So perhaps a firmer binding technique for the pearlescent shades could be incorporated into the formulaic ingredients somehow. Otherwise, quite happy with them!

Love these pan pastels. Pastels were packed correctly, no broken pastels. I have checked reviews before purchasing and damage was the main complaint. This is my third order. I had to have the metallic pastels. Special thanks to whomever the Amazon driver was in my area for putting package inside screen door. This prevented my package from being stolen. I wasn’t expecting my package until Friday shipping was fast. My only complaint was the plastic applicator for extra sponges was not included.

I LOVE THESE!!! Yes they are small - but a tiny little bit goes a LONG way!!!

Ces petites boîtes de 9ml sont parfaites pour l'usage occasionnel de ces pan pastels. La texture est onctueuse et très agréable à travailler avec ou sans éponge. Leur luminosité est réelle et le rendu assez sympa. La photo avec le papier noir est faite à la lumière naturelle. Je suis ravie de mon achat.
