Good product, simple . Why spend more ? Good simple cheap does job as good as fancy ones

This is a simple combustion leak detector to help diagnose your car. Mine was losing coolant without any obvious leaks. The situation gradually got worse and worse, to the point where I could not drive half a mile without getting a warning light on the dash. You take the coolant tank cap off, pour some of the blue testing fluid into the bubbler, and hold it tightly against the coolant opening. If the fluid's color changes from blue to light green, combustion gases are present in the coolant tank, which generally means you have a leaky head gasket. Once I replaced the head gasket, all the symptoms went away. This kit told me exactly what the problem was and saved me a ton of money.

This test kit was great. Great price , easy to use and quick results. I was hoping that the liquid would stay blue but it turned yellow right away. I wasn't really surprised with the results but it was good to see it clearly right away. So now I focus on the job at hand with the clear results!

I wanted to be sure my head gasket wasn't leaking. The rubber cone didn't fit into RAM TRX 2022 coolant tank very well. I saw no fluid color change with engine running. I tested fluid by exhaling three times and got significant green and yellow color change. I'm certain my head gasket is fine.

I thought I had a blown head gasket on one of our older, high mileage vehicles. This was an easy and inexpensive way of diagnosing it. Paid for itself with the first use.

I feel this is a good first line diagnostic tool for more advanced diyers and professionals alike. Makes it easier to diagnose internal leaks, when used along with other diagnostic tools. I don't recommend this for casual mechanics but as an easy first step in your diagnostic tool kit. I've had a couple of these and they are not bullet proof so don't just trow it around. I have mine stored in a hard case I got from HF.

Great value. Easy to use kit that is accurate and durable. Gave me the answer I didn’t want to see. But to know than not to.

Works as intended. I was 99% sure I had a head gasket leak due to air being introduced into my cooling system and I used this kit to confirm before ordering parts. Tips: Use the test for at least a few minutes. And green also means you have a head gasket leak. Green is the color you get when you mix blue and yellow. Yellow is a strong result. I have a slow leak and it takes a few minutes for my test to turn green. If I would have quit after a minute, my test was still blue. I was concerned CO2 was entering the tester from the ambient air since I could smell my exhaust, so I dumped it out and retested with my finger over the top with light pressure to still allow bubbles to escape and got the same results. The rubber tip is universal and didn’t seal on my Honda Accord so I had to hold it down, but this can be corrected by cutting the rubber cone shorter to seal the outer edge of the radiator opening without bottoming out. And make sure your coolant is low enough to have room to expand with heat without going into the tester or you’ll have a mess. And I thought the kit was made in America because of the American flag in one of the pictures, but it’s “made in EU”.

Der ELD Zylinderkopf Dichtung Tester ist wirklich praktisch und einfach zu bedienen. Ich konnte schnell prüfen, ob die Zylinderkopfdichtung in Ordnung ist. Das Gerät wirkt robust und ist für Autos und Motorräder universell einsetzbar. Die Handhabung ist unkompliziert, und die Tests liefern klare Ergebnisse. Auch die Tatsache, dass man bis zu 50 Tests durchführen kann, macht den Tester besonders wirtschaftlich und zuverlässig. Fazit: Ein toller Tester, der genau das tut, was er soll. Absolute Empfehlung, wenn man die Zylinderkopfdichtung selbst prüfen möchte.

The bottle had lost 10-15% of its contents during before it arrived and the liquid was not blue anymore. Color was dirty and almost looked like the liquid had reacted allready. Price was cheaper than many other products, but I reccoment spending that little extra for a better quality kit
