3M Tegaderm Transparent Film Dressing (2 Boxes)

I love these for protecting burns and scrapes, and they work amazing for new tattoos too. They stay put, keep everything clean, and help healing happen faster. Definitely a staple in our first aid kit!

We've used this Tegaderm film by 3M over many years and found it to be a consistently high quality product. It's strong and stays where it's put. Don't be fooled by the numerous knock offs that are cheaper - but don't work. You get what you pay for in life.

I is not the first time I buy this item, even take a shower with them and I used to cover a patch that need to be on for 7 days, and they work great.

Perfect size

These are perfect to cover a Fentanyl patch. They keep it down with complete skin contact so the medicine penetration remains even for the 3 day period between changes. If you begin to lose that contact the patch can not distribute effectively and even with a perfect placement the Fentanyl patch will start to lift around the edges. This product is invaluable to me in retaining pain management and I have used them for 4 years. The price on Amazon by the 100 count box is a little over 30 cents each compared to as much as $1.75 I had paid in a pharmacy buying them individually. The only draw back is if you are active enough to sweat it will retain the water and the patch can lose contact so you need to drain the film cover as much as possible and may not get the full effect from the Fentanyl. The upside is without it you wouldn't have been able to be active enough to work up a sweat. I do wish there was a size slightly larger since I have to apply my own and it is a very close fit. If I don't get it centered perfectly to seal completely around the Fentanyl patch I have to use a second film to ensure a complete seal. If I move up to a stronger dose the patch is usually larger and the next size Tegaderm patch I have found is about twice this size. I ordered some once and cut them in half for my 75 mcg Fentanyl patch. I have also used them with a Butrans patch that is much larger. I would recommend this product to anyone for use with a transdermal pain patch or wound care. It is a great product and fortunate we can purchase it directly here at such a great price!

The patches themselves are fine, but the packaging it arrives is all crushed. It would be nice if they used a hard box.

Helps protect my skin. I wear a Dexcom G7 and the tape doesn’t agree with me! Normally, I feel like I’m peeling off layers of skin and I have an irritated red mark for days. Now, I place one of these on my arm first, then insert the G7. When I remove them both 10 days later, it’s faster, easier, and less painful to remove and I don’t get a sore red spot. I also apply one of these patches before inserting my Omnipod insulin pump on my leg and when I remove them both 3 days later, I have a smaller hole in my leg. It seems to keep the pump from moving around too much, so my skin is less irritated where the cannula is inserted. I will caution that these need time to “settle” before getting wet, though. I take a shower before application and try not to get any remaining exposed Tegaderm wet for at least 24 hours, preferably 36. I wish they made a smaller version that is a perfect fit for the Dexcom G7! They are a perfect fit for the Omnipod Dash/5, but they’re a bit too large for the G7 and they start to peel if they get wet too soon.

Ordered it after my toddler scrapped her knees almost to the bones. It helped the pain, it kept any infection away, she could shower with it, it was not painful taking it off or putting it on. It helped healing of the wounds, unlike regular band aid. Everyone in the family used it and it is really helpful. I read about this product online, where a nurse talked how beneficial it is for deep wounds. Worth every penny.
