Not perfect, but close!
This floor protector works exactly as I expected. I have stretched it several times, and the folds are starting to relax. Cleans easily with my shop vac. Once warm weather returns I plan to spread it in the driveway with full sun to see if it becomes more supple. I have not tried the Velcro patches yet, they won’t stick as cold as it is. I probably will get some additional Velcro when spring comes. The size is perfect for our Toyota Sienna. No leaks or other issues since it has been down.

Great Mat
Very happy with the mat. It exceeded my expectations. Once rolled out it's still a little stiff from the cold floor, but it's containing the rain/snow very well.

Not wide enough
This only works for small cars. It would be great if it were wider.

Prior to using this, my garage had pools of water that would settle along the walls. Now, water and dirt says within the raised edges of the mat. It works great! My concerns are - on long stretches of frosty weather, where do you release the water? My driveway will be an ice sheet if not careful. Also, the mat moves a bit when pulling in/out so I have to adjust it"s position every few days. Not a big deal though. On warmer days I drag the mat a little out of the garage and fold the mat in on itself so the water flows off the end and down the driveway. I have an average size car but I'm using a courtesy car that is much larger than mine (BMW X5) and have a hard time parking on the mat due to the vehicle being too large...so size up if you are in a larger suv. Over the last 3 weeks of use - it does a great job. We have large snowfall in AB, so I try to clear the snow build up around the tires before parking to minimize the melt pooling on the mat. So far I'm very happy with it.

The product seems to be very thick and heavy.....It should work well for catching mud and snow from my vechile. The small sticky tabs will not hold the protector in place but I believe it is heavy enough to stay in place by itself. As the product was folded and has creases in it I am having a difficult time getting rid of the fold creases. It is too early to tell if the fold creases will eventually flatten out.....I will revisit this review in several months to give a update. As long as it catches the frozen snow, ice and sand in my garage I will be happy and overlook the creases should they totally not flatten out.

We are not completely satisfied with the product and would not buy this brand for a 2nd one for the other side of the garage. The mat does not stay in place with the Velcro strips provided, it will bunch up as you drive on it causing edges to lift up and the water to run out on the garage floor defeating the containment purpose. It does contain a majority of the snow that melts off the car, but we must vacuum almost daily in order for any small amount not to run over the edges or splash when driving in or out of the garage. Lots of wrinkles that bunch up often, because of this, you can not squeegee, must be vacuumed to keep it dry. I don't feel all sides are the same height or were not constructed quite right as one section the edges definitely is not visibly high enough to keep the melt contained. The sides should definitely be higher around edges.

UPDATED REVIEW MARCH 2025: This last month I have noticed water underneath the mat. At first I thought it was because there was too much water when I drove out of the garage. Yesterday I got rid of the water on the mat, before I lifted up the end and dried the mat and floor with a squeegee and shammie cloth. This morning there was even more water on the garage floor again. No one drove over the mat or walked on it. Today instead of removing the water on the mat first, I decided to get rid of the water on the floor first. I wanted to clean the mat higher up, and get rid of some stuck on mud, this is easily done with the water from the melted snow. I gently folded over the end of the mat to push the water towards the other end. I wiped down the underside of the mat and garage floor with the squeegee and shammie. After it was completely dry, I folded the end back down and got rid of the water and mud on top of the mat. When I was done, I noticed that the garage floor was wet again. I folded the mat back up and found it was wet again, but higher up and towards the middle. I’ve inspected the mat, and cannot find any large holes or tears. I could understand this happening where my tires drive, because of rocks getting stuck in the treads; but before I folded up the end, I pushed the water on the mat away from the sides. The wrinkles in the mat, prevented the water from going back towards the sides. I also used snow to suck up the water to make a slush, then I scoop it into a bucket. This also kept the water in the center of the mat. Considering that we take extremely good care of the mat by washing it in the spring and putting it safely away until fall, it should have lasted a lot longer. I wrote my initial review approximately 4 months after I purchased it. I thought the reason it wouldn’t lay flat, was because it was November when we installed it. I WAS WRONG! During the next summer and warm weather the mat did smooth out more, but still had the creases where it had been folded for shipping. It appears the mat is folded right after manufacturing, so these creases don’t ever go away; especially the ones running lengthwise. Each spring I wash it, and rolled it up to prevent any creasing. In the fall of 2022, when the weather was still decent, we cleaned the garage floor, then brought the mat back out. Even though we had rolled it, the creases were still quite prominent. As you can see from my review, I thought I could get rid of them, by using industrial Velcro strips to secure the mat and pull it flat. I WAS WRONG. I even used E6000 glue to secure the Velcro to the floor and mat. The reason it didn’t work, was that as soon as the mat got too cold, it contracted and humps formed in the mat. Every year the same humps are formed in the same places. You can see these humps/wringles in photos from other reviews; so it is not just my mat. They don’t look that bad, except when the mat is cold, it is stiff, and water and mud get trapped behind them. They don’t flatten out, even when you try to push on them. You literally have to push the water / mud over the humps. It doesn’t flatten out again until the weather gets quite warm. This has happens every year, and now it is allowing water to seep through the surface. I will need to get a new mat before the next winter season. I would not recommend this product or brand, and I would definitely NOT purchase this brand again. ORIGINAL REVIEW POSTED FEBRUARY 2022 (4 months after purchase): This summer I spent weeks fixing holes and cracks in the garage floor. Winter arrived before I had time to seal the cement. I purchased this containment mat to protect the new cement. It does exactly what it is supposed to - catching fluids. You need to be prepared to deal with the fluids if you live in an area that gets snow or lots of rain. The biggest issue I have are the large creases in the mat that trap dirt and water. This is because it is folded in the packaging. It should be rolled to prevent this. 1st suggestion…If I started from scratch again, I would unwrap it in my house so it could get warm to see if the creases would relax a bit. I would also attach the Velcro to the mat at the same time. 2nd suggestion… Invest in some industrial strength Velcro and attach the rough hooked side to the mat, and the fussy side on the garage floor. The fussy side doesn’t get distorted if you remove the mat and drive over the Velcro. Make sure the floor is clean and warm before attaching the Velcro. This mat holds A LOT of water. You’ll be amazed at how much moisture your vehicle accumulates. 3rd suggestion… when possible, stop your vehicle on the driveway and knock off the snow that sticks to the vehicle’s tires, mud guards/flaps, etc. It will save you some time & labor later on. If you don’t remove the water on the mat, it will eventually over flow, especially when you drive on & off it. At first I used a wet/dry vacuum, but the vacuum cleanup was just more work. 4th suggestion… invest in a really good floor squeegee. That way you can push/pull the water into one area. 5th suggestion… after you squeegee the water, add some snow to it. I know that sounds stupid, but it works. Adding snow is like adding flour to a liquid. It thickens it and makes it easy to remove. Instead of trying to pick up water, adding snow makes a slush. The slush captures the dirt and small rocks that also end up on the mat. I use a dust pan to simply scoop up the slush into a bucket. 6th suggestion… purchase a cheap squeegee from a dollar store that is a smaller width then the dust pan. It will help get all the excess water and slush off the containment mat. When I’m done, I just empty the bucket outside. One added tip: the warmth of the engine motor is enough to get a lot of snow melting, but once the engine cools down, sometimes the water refreezes on the mat and you can just pick up large sheets of ice. You have to do this before you start warming up your vehicle or driving back into the garage. This only works if your garage isn’t heated and the temperature inside drops below freezing. Conclusion: The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is mainly due to the poor hook & loop adhesive patches and the way it’s packaged causing large annoying creases. Yes I would purchase this again. The material is durable; it does get stiffer when it’s -20°C or colder. As I previously stated, it holds a lot of liquid. I would estimate that there is 5 to 10 litres of water, on the mat, every time I have driven on snow covered roads. That amount increases if I’ve been driving while it’s snowing, especially if it’s a wet snow that sticks to the wheel wells and the car’s undercarriage.

It keeps the snow, mud and water off my garage floor. Twice a year I pull it out of the garage, hose it down and use a rubber broom with dish soap to clean it. The Velcro stickers that are supposed to hold it in place don’t really work so the floor cover develops some creases. They don’t hinder the purpose of the cover.kee
