I bought this for my grandson. He keeps his in his Ranger. He uses this on the ranch and when he camps/cooks out . He said it comes in handy. I like that there is a first aid kit. This kit has a little bit of everything and I feel better knowing he has something with him if a problem should arise. I’m buying 2 more for his brother and sister to keep in their rangers. For this price, and with all it contains, I think everyone should keep one in their vehicle. …note he has used the shovel for digging a fire pit and started a fire with the ferro rod. Shovel works well, held up nicely and was able to start the fire with zero issues.

A lot of kits out there tend to have a limited amount of items in their pack, for about the same price as this. I figured I'd give this one a shot because it had so much with it. I was not disappointed for multiple reasons: 1. All tools have a good steel metal weight to them. Feel tight and fluid without any looseness. Blades clearly sharp out the box without need of sharpening. All tool parts fit together snugly and stay together. Every tool came with their own carrying case and a strap for attaching to a belt/etc. 2. A bare minimum, but necessary, first aid kit. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but at the end of the day, most minor-medium (non-hospital requiring) injuries needing a first aid kit will be covered by this. 3. Whistles... So many whistles. "Who cares about whistles?" You do when you're trapped in a situation you can't get yourself out of and rescue workers need to know you're even alive. 4. Tools, tools, tools and more tools - Lose a tool? No worries. The other items in your bag probably have what you lost to keep you ready for any situation. 5. The bag's Velcro fully detaches from the straps attachment. You can attach it to your backpack, belt, etc and not need to worry about trying to take 5 minutes to undo it. Grab the handle at the top and pull away from the strap attachment. 6. Full book opening. Easy to get and put back whatever you need.

This kit is almost perfect. For the price it's amazing. I have added a couple of items specific to my possble needs. The included tools are very good quality. The storage bag is small enough to make storage easy but still has room for additional items as you may want. I just ordered 2 more for the camper and boat. This one goes in my truck. This kit could easliy sell for 3X the current price and still be a good deal.

Wow, lots of items, for the discounted price I paid I believe it was a fair price, I wouldn't pay full retail for this kit. About a third of the items were fair to good quality, the rest were just okay to borderline not okay. Most items were cheaply made and not very durable. I bought the kit just for fun, but for those who are needing or wanting a survival kit to solve real world problems, I would encourage you to build your own kit. For less than $20 this kit is acceptable, but not for more. The main fire starter is good as well as the basic fist aid kit. The spork is not well designed and the fishing kit is lacking. The bag/pouch organizer is fair in quality, it does the job, but may not last a long time if used on a regular basis. Shovel and larger multitool are very cheaply made, I wouldn't bet my life on them. For fun this is an okay splurge purchase, but if you need real survival/preparedness gear look elsewhere.

I wanted something to keep in my car for emergencies during a northern winter. Ok, fishing equipment probably wouldn’t be necessary if I was stranded somewhere. But I guess you never know. Ha! Love the kit. It has everything you could need. And in a well thought out minimal space. I didn’t want a big bulky kit and this one fits the bill perfectly. Could also see where this would be useful if you were hiking and camping. It’s not for long term, months and months survivalists, but for short term goals, it’s perfect. Recommend.
