How smooth is the pan ( 62" 158CM Compact Lightweight Travel Tripod)?

Can you use this tripod with a nikon 1 j5?

Is the ball head on the TM2324 (62'' aluminium) removable?

Absolutely. There is a 1/4"-20 male threaded screw that is availible for attaching what you'd like (I myself added a fluid head for my video needs but I do enjoy the head it came with). Removing the ball head and the mount allows you to change it for use as a monopod, inverted (upside down) mounting, and access to the parts if cleaning is ever necessary. It's a great Tripod so far.

Would it be possible to mount a fluid head on to this tripod ?

Should be fine. I’ve used a manfrotto geared macro head. It has a standard screw fitting
