I have bought various pumps and returned them all until I got this one. It is definitely woirth the tenner or so extra you pay because the suction vent is located on the bottom of the pump rather than at the side which means that it really will completely empty your pool rather than leaving several inches of dirty water at the bottom which has to be mopped out, which is both messy and time-consuming. It is quiet, powerful and completely emptied my pond in a few minutes. It does not come with a drain hose so do yourself a favour and buy a rigid rather than a flat one. The latter kink all the time and it is a bugger to get a continuous flow going - you end up wet, messy and frustrated.

This is a solidly built pump that can handle water extraction down to a very shallow depth with an easily cleared filter area. Rate of flow is excellent. With other models I had to slice off the silly cut-off float and join the wires. This device provides a top of pump holder that stops cut off when you don't want it. Wish I had got something as sturdy as this before.

Brilliant product works really good to empty my hot tub.

Well what started off brilliant ( testing the pump in a big bucket of water first ) then turned into a nightmare and I was ready to pack the pump up and return it , I tried everything , I had bought a big 25 mm hose , jubilee clips , attached rope to the pump ( I’ve seen various videos online / u tube etc so I knew I was setting everything up properly !! Put the pump in the pool to pump out the final mm’s of water that had been left after I had drained the pool previous to buying this pump and then everything went wrong, the water was coming out of the hose where it was joined to the pump , I stopped then tightened it all up the water then was gushing out the back of the pump where there’s a little hole , then leaking out the sides , I was thinking what a complete waste of money BUT then I had a little help and no where does it say to do this in any instructions or videos I’ve watched online , but just by raising the pump slightly with the rope and get it at the right angle so as the water sucks up from the bottom of the pump it all started pumping like a dream , yes I had to slightly move it around to keep the suction going but we’re talking mm’s of water here , Not a full pool of water . it started clogging slightly from debris from what was on the floor of the pool, so I stopped picked the bits out of the bottom of the pump and started the process over again !! what a brilliant bit of kit . So take note , DONT have the pump completely flat to the ground otherwise the water will pump out of everywhere it shouldn’t , persevere , have some patience and you will be left with hardly anything in your pool .

Purchased this to remove flooding in my basement. Certainly did the trick. You must insure when on continuous setting (float switch clipped up) that no debris clogs the inlet at the bottom. Sucked all the water out with only minimal puddling left to mop up. Excellent value for money.

Use this to empty my spa works great with a decent hose

Have not been able to use it yet as delivered with European plug, will now need to buy an adapter!!! Why do companies do this ?
