RUIZU 32GB MP3 Player with Bluetooth 5.3 Auto-Reconnect, 80H Playback

I’ve been loving this MP3 player! It’s sooo lightweight and really easy to use. The sound quality is actually really good and the battery lasts a long time too. I mainly got this because I was getting tired of streaming music all the time and wanted something where I could just have my music downloaded without worrying about subscriptions. Honestly, it’s been so nice having all my music in one place again. When I first got it, I was kinda struggling to figure out how to put music on it, but once I figured it out, it was literally so easy. Just plug it into your computer and drag your MP3 files into the Music folder. That’s it! The only things I wish were better are that the screen could be a little clearer, and the buttons are kinda loud when you press them lol. But honestly, those are pretty minor things. The packaging was great and everything came with no problems. I also bedazzled mine because I wanted it to look more cute and aesthetic, and I’m OBSESSED with how it turned out. Overall, I definitely recommend it!! It’s cute, simple, affordable, and does exactly what I wanted it to do.

I am 'upgrading' from a previous mp3 player (unnamed) that I've used for years. It had a touch screen and was fine, but had issues that this one solves. This one from RUIZU is not perfect, but none of the issues I faced amount to losing a star. I use this while at the gym because I don't want to lug my phone around. What I like: - physical on/off switch on the bottom - physical control pad on the face (not a tiny touch screen) - very light, I weighed it at 30 grams - bluetooth reconnects automatically. This is HUGE. It was a problem every time I used my old one, especially with the tiny touch screen it had - it starts up where I left off. Awesome. - you can scan through the song, very nice. I have some long compilation tracks. - space. My old one was 16GB, and I didn't use it all. This has 64GB AND an expansion slot. - USB-C and an aux port. - It has "folder play" capabilities. This is a big reason why I got it, because my music is already organized in folders. - Battery life seems good. Music transfer is good. - lack of side buttons. I thought I would miss them, but nothing to accidentally press - price Things not ideal (for me): - I use this primarily with my bluetooth earbuds. Volume was at 15. That almost blew my head off when I plugged in my IEMs in the aux port to test it. Good volume was at 5. Just noting. - Using the UI can take some getting used to, but it's not that bad. The only thing I still struggle a little with is getting back to the "Currently Playing" screen if I accidentally get off of it. - It has too much functionality that I likely won't use. And the selected item on the main screen is hard to see, even if you adjust the brightness. - I really don't need the visualization showing while playing, would be nice to turn it off. It takes up most of the screen.

I bought this mp3 player back in February of 2024. During that time I had bought the color black with the storage of about 8gb advertised. When I had received it it showed that the storage was at 7940 mb. That might not be an issue to most because the ones being advertised here are now at 16 or 32gb, but I still wanted to point that out. The quality of the mp3 player is fairly nice. it is very small and lightweight. The lightweight portion of it has made me question the durability of the mp3 player, but it has stayed intact throughout this time. I would say that the earbuds that come with it are not good, so if you can, you should try to find some that you may want to use, or buy a set of earbuds while you are getting this product. The device is powered with Type-C , which I find very nice because it is a more common charging cable. There is also a slot for you to put an SD card that supports up to 128 GB. I tried it out and it did its job. The design of the buttons and the frame from the one that I bought was not bad. The graphics are okay, and I did find it cool that I was able to put a Bob's Burgers episode on here and play it (I will try to add a small picture or video). It was pixelated, but I could still see what was happening in that video. I have tried out the Bluetooth and it does work. The bluetooth connectivity is not bad. -- This device also has a switch to be "powered" off so you dont have to worry about battery getting wasted if you are not using it. --I also find it cool that this device has a radio available. I'm mentioning this because when the power went out in my state around May of 2024, I was able to use this to get some information on the news when my phone died, and also to hear some music. --I did want to say one last thing that could be a deal breaker to some of y'all. This device, or at least the version that I bought, will only give you audio if it is connected by bluetooth or with an mp3 player. it does have a recording section that is not affected by the recording portion, but to listen to the audio that you did record, you will need wired earbuds or Bluetooth earbuds/speaker.

Apparently, they created a new version of the product. I know this, because that's what the manual is for. But it talks about features that the delivered device doesn't have. The user interface is truly atrocious. The pathetic thing about it is, I wouldn't care at all if they simply included the correct manual. I don't mind learning a difficult interface. But when the interface is not discoverable, and various features require pressing multiple buttons simultaneously, then you have to be able to look it up and find out which buttons to press. There is no other way. If instead of the WRONG manual they had included a web address of a PDF with the correct manual, the problem would be significantly reduced. But this is just intentionally dishonest; they printed the wrong number of manuals, or built the wrong number of devices, and just mix-and-matched. But they don't have the same software. They don't have the same menus. If you change the software, you should update the product model number and this would never happen. A simple and important feature like the screensaver settings are listed in the manual, but not in the device menu. Does this mean you can't change the settings? Who knows. The interface also lags really bad. Press pause; now press play. There is such a long delay between pressing the button and the music starting that the natural instinct is to press it again; but if you do that, it plays about 1/5th of a second of music and then pauses again. Immediately. If the music is paused and press play/pause twice, rapidly, it instantly plays this short blip of music before returning to being paused. But if you just press it once, it sits there thinking about it before even starting. Very klunky interface. The sound quality is pretty bad, too. Setting the EQ to "rock" gives a flatter response than "off," they simply didn't bother tuning the defaults to give a flat response. So none of the EQ settings do what they were intended to do! All they had to do was tune the no-EQ settings, and the EQ formulas would all be good. But without that, they're not. Overall, the experience is worse than one of those old USB stick players with no screen and 3 buttons. The one and only advantage of this device is that it is rechargeable.

It 100% fulfilled my needs. I listen to digitally recorded (mp3) podcasts. I am able to pause the content, turn off the player, and return to the same spot later. That was the most important feature to me. The battery life seems to be more than adequate, but I haven't tested it to its limits after three weeks. File storage capacity is far beyond my needs. I can't speak to the audio fidelity, because I haven't listened to music on it. Spoken word stuff comes through clearly. Volume is loud enough to be heard over my electric leaf blower. Easy to download files from a PC. I am very satisfied with the player.

Hi, this is going to be my personal review of the Ruizu X02. I’m going to begin my review by stating the things I immediately disliked before I move on to the things I like. So first of all, as another reviewer stated, this is a very weird device and the reason is due to the UI. Instead of having dedicated buttons for specific functions, most of the “would-be” normal functions are hidden. The buttons that serve as the main functions are as followed: Rewind (|<<) – Also serves to move left, move up, or to go to the previous track. Fast Forward (>>|) – Also serves to move right or move down Play/Pause ((>||) – Also serves to put the player into sleep mode when pressed and held. Pressing and holding the button will wake the unit back up, which then allows you to resume where you left off. Menu (M) – Displays hidden menu options. Press and hold to also serve as the Screen Lock function. Only functions to move up in the Main Menu. Volume (VOL) – Must press and hold for volume screen to appear, which one then must use “Rewind” or “Fast Forward” buttons to adjust the volume. Also serves to back out of a directory when browsing. Only functions to move down in the Main Menu. What makes the function of these buttons so un-intuitive is that they don’t function exactly in the way you would expect them to and they take a little bit of tinkering to get adjusted to, especially if you are coming from DAPs that have more straight forward functionality. For instance, when you are browsing through any directory in the player except for the main menu itself, instead of pressing what you would think would function as the “Up” and “Down” buttons (which in this case would be the “M” to serve as “UP” and “VOL” to serve as “Down”) you instead have to browse by pressing the “Rewind” or “Fast Forward” buttons. Then you have to press the “VOL” to back out of the current directory that you are in. If you have backed out of a directory and want to return back to the song that was playing, you would have to press the “M” button and that would bring up the option to return to the song that is “Now Playing”. Again, the only time the buttons function as you would expect is when you are in the Main Menu. It’s a pretty weird setup that could’ve easily been remedied if they had added the appropriate buttons. ALL of the buttons are on the front of the unit. There are none on the sides or top. The only physical switch is the power switch, which is located on the bottom. Another personal gripe is that when you press the Rewind button to start over a track, it will instead instantly go to the previous track instead of simply starting over the current track from the beginning. This is quickly remedied by quickly pressing the Fast Forward button to return to the track, but it is still an annoying inconvenience. I experienced the same thing with my Ruizu X52 and AGPTEK B03 DAPs. It must be a common design flaw among these cheap brands. Another gripe I noticed is that when a track starts there will be a very brief fade-in instead of starting at regular volume. My final gripe is that I noticed when a song is playing, if the encoded information is too long it will not display the full information, despite the fact that it will slowly scroll across the screen. Despite the rather strange UI and a few gripes, it is otherwise a good player. I haven’t so far had any issues with random shuffling of tracks like I did with my previous Ruizu X52 (with the “Shuffling” feature turned off, mind you). The micro SD card works properly and I had zero issues with it being detected by my PC, nor had I had any problems loading files onto it. Mind you, I haven’t yet attempted to load any songs onto the actual player itself. The sound quality and volume is decent (also unlike my previous Ruizu X52, which only had a max volume of 30 and was pretty low by comparison). As advertised and as stated by other reviewers, it has EXCELLENT battery life. I personally don’t care to use the other functions such as Video, Photos, Recordings, or Ebook as that is not what I intended to have the player for. I use it as a bare bones DAP and for that it works. In all honesty though, due to the overall cons I wouldn’t see myself using this as the “go-to” DAP in my collection. I would only use this if I’m at work or doing any other activity and need a cheap backup player, while reserving a better designed player for more enjoyable listening experiences. UPDATE: I have been using this player almost daily. It took some getting used to the weird UI but overall it's been decent. However, I am updating to add, yet, another flaw that I just discovered. I have come to notice that at times when a song is playing it will randomly start to "crackle" and drag. It has done it on at least two occasions so far and I've only had the player maybe a good week and a half. My Ruizu X52 was notorious for doing the same exact thing at times, often getting so bad that the only way to fix it would be to turn off the player and restart it, which ruins the listening experience - Again, I think this may be a common issue with these Ruizu DAPs. I will update again if I continue to find any more issues with this player.

I've been looking for a good audiobook mp3 player since my SanDisk battery model died. SanDisk Clip is good but I've still been looking. Tried about 4 but a good audiobook oriented player is getting harder to find. Short run time, random progression of files, fiddly controls, loosing their place in a book when turned off. Finally I found what I wanted. Easy controls; no confusion of file order. It will even go fast backward into the end of the previous file if you want to review something. Also graduated speeds for fast forward and backward. I switched to FM for a while (good reception) in the middle of a book, went back to "Music", "Resume" and it was exactly where I left off in the audiobook. Good battery; just finished a 14 hr book and the battery symbol still looks full. Works fine with Bluetooth speaker but not hearing aids; I haven't found any that did. I'm buying one for my wife and one for yoga and workout music.

Was looking all over for an mp3 player that i could get to replace my broken one and i found this little gem. It's really nice. Alot smaller than what i had before but it still is a nice player. The only two problems with it are the interface is a little wonky and you need to spend a little extra time in sorting your music or making extra folders to know what you have if you have lots of music. Plus the fact that you basically needed to buy an extra chip for space on it.. since the storage space is soo incredibly small. But it really is a great product otherwise because you can customize it since you do need to get an extra chip to give it more space...so that storage space can range greatly making it great if you have a little or alot of music. Its small and compact making it easy for workouts and its light so its not bulky or heavy to carry. It has a radio in it and other features. So it really does have alot of upsides to this mp3 player even in a day and age where not everyone likes to have a music player and phone seperated. If you do though, this mp3 is worth it in my opinion.

This item is exactly what I wanted and I am very pleased with it.

Been using for 2 years now while golfing. Robust and long battery run time. Holds a LOT of music. Would be nice for a wee bit brighter screen but hey, for the price it is fine.
