Works well but USB only works one way as noted.
This went into my portable video switcher build and had no problem installing them. They fit well, installed very easily and functioned as advertised. The only thing I did not like is due to the backward compatibilites nature of usb 2/3 they usb cable only functions 1 way. Other than that they have a solid build construction.

Perfect for AV setups requiring USB-C plugs
Great construction. Added these to my AV panel for equipment that requires charging via USB-c Patched these into my power conditioner for much easier access. Some of my equipment either powers or charges via USB-C cable and i was sick of trying to reach into my road case to plug them into the power conditioner. I moved all possible input/output jacks to use D-series plugs. Makes my setup, teardown, and life easier

Not properly wired, not 3.1
Not all pins are connected. This mean 3.1 features (such as video) do not work. In addition, even things like charging only work in a certain orientation.

They worked good, just one of them broke on me,n but I think I was too rough when installing, the one that did not break has been working fine for a few months and I use it everyday

A good way to pass a USB-C cable though a metal panel.
Works well for its intended function, the dust cover is a nice touch.

Only charges in single orientation. If not charging, flip the cable over.
There is a note in the description to this effect, but it is frustrating for design. I have this attached to a pelican case to charge internal electronics. The point was for me to be able to connect the case and charge the devices inside without having to open the case to confirm charging. However, because this charges with a single cable orientation, it is a 50/50 gamble to plug it in and hope for it to charge. I'm trying a different brand to see if it works in both orientations. I understand this was done intentionally to be backwards compatible, but I'm not sure why they made it backwards compatible when it doesn't seem necessary. Anyway, everything works otherwise, just disappointing that I have to open the case to make sure things are charging every time I connect the cable.

Will not work to transfer usbc to usbc to go through a cabinet
This item does not work to transfer a tv picture from back side of cabinet to the front. I have a cable that is hdmi to usbc that I use to plug into my iPad and watch YouTube on my tv. To make the connection look better, I put this adapter in through the face frame. Then I plugged my ipad into it. It does not work
