BEWARE! These take 15 minutes to heat up. Not 85 seconds!
These are not what I ordered. They do not heat up in 85 seconds. They have instructions inside the package stating they take 12 minutes to heat and in reality its 15 minutes. They look exactly like the image, same color and rods except for the heating time. I reached out to Amazon to inquire and they said I could return them but since this is the only seller for them on Amazon and Walmart no longer carries them I kept them. I ordered them specifically for that quick heat up and am so disappointed. It was false advertising! OTHER Than that they work good in my hair which is long enough to sit on. I roll about eight inches on the purple roller and then from the bottom of the the hair to meet it on the pink roller. I have beautiful, shiny curls if I let the curlers cool in my hair and leave them in for about thirty more minutes. The longer you wear them the curlier your hair is.

Works pretty good! No power button
Love the concept of this and totally reminds me of 80s hair. It is really hard to keep the curlers in the hair though and tight even with bending them & attaching at the end with the little stretchy circle as directed without any clips so you might have to use aftermarket clips and there’s no power button. You have to plug it in to turn it on and unplug it to turn it off so keep that in mind

Still the Best for Fine Hair
I have baby fine hair that struggles to curl and to hold any curl that i can get. I first used Hot Sticks years ago, as they provide a far tighter curl than hot rollers. I finally got rid of my old set several years ago after taking a remote job; I just didn't use them much anymore. I now have a bob that needs some curl and I can achieve the look I want with a wet set. Still, if I don't have time (or need a good night's sleep), setting my wet hair is not always practical. I ended up buying several different hot roller sets and a few curling irons, but none achieved the curls I remembered from these. I was so glad to find them again. Few notes on using them: these are not instant-heat. They take about 10-15 min to get really hot, so prepare accordingly. Leave the top on while they heat up. The looped end stays cool, but the rest of the curler will be hot. If you work quickly, they will not burn your fingers (but I come from the generation who were used to very hot curling irons, rollers, etc. You burned your fingers or your neck, you just moved on with your day.) Make sure your hair is completely dry and each section is tangle free. Do not get messy when rolling; you will regret it when you take these out. Have some clips handy if you plan to roll closely to the scalp or hairline. Sticking a clip in between the skin and roller for a few minutes will save you some discomfort from the heat. Let them cool completely before removing them. If your hair is still warm after taking them out, let it cool completely, too, before messing with the curl. Speaking of removing them, UNROLL the curl; do not yank them out when any hair is still attached (they have little gripper nubs, so not unrolling completely will guarantee some of your hair will be yanked out.) Lastly, because of the heat, I would never use these daily on my fine hair, but for beautiful curls when I am feeling fancy, absolutely nothing works better.

Don't waste your money
This product is absolutely ridiculous. The heating elements are only in the very center of each of these curlers so unless you have your hair lined up perfectly inside that loop it won't work. The ends keep wanting to pop out from inside each other so they don't stay hooked and I'm constantly having to redo it and by then the rollers are cool. They are silicone and by that nature kind of helps them to cling to each other, but once you slide the end through the loop on the other end it just wants to come undone . There is a 12-minute warm up before you can start using these. Wow. There is also no on-off switch it is either plugged in or it's just not on. Waste of money, cheap, poorly designed.

Not the same
I used hot sticks for years. The ease of use and curls from these are on par with the older ones. The big issue is that these new ones have little nubs on them and those nubs rip your hair out when you are removing the rod. They should just go back to the old design. They were already perfect.

How to use these to achieve the curls you want.
I have had a set of these for 30 years. I am replacing them but to let some of y'all know these do work on all hair types. All my nieces have long hair some even to their butts and these curlers give them spiral curls. I have hair to the middle of my back and I actually leave them in for hours and I get the spiral curls as well. You have to use hair products and roll them correctly on your head. Once you are done you can't just jerk them out...you have to be gentle. They will work on fine, thin hair too. It's all about the hair products you use to hold the curl before putting the curlers in and then get a good after spray. You have to try different products out to see what works for you in order to achieve what you are looking for whether it's tight curls or volume.

Good product
Loves these for simplicity and long lasting curls. Best for shorter hair(3-5”?)

Not for UK
Be very careful if you are in the Uk. I bought these for my granddaughter and when they arrived they had a plug for USA current. Even though we bought an adapter they never worked. I did try to return them but as it was outside the 30 days(my fault) they would not accept them back so very expensive lesson
