I've used these several times in the GA clay/mud and to level my truck for my rooftop tent and they barely show any wear and have done what they're designed to do. Just get these. Nobody is going to care they're not max trax and you'll save yourself a bunch of money.

I managed to get my truck stuck in the backyard doing some yard work. Part of my yard stays damp due to poor drainage, and once the heavy front end sunk in, there just simply wasn't enough traction at any corner to pull itself out. I tried cat litter, which has worked well in the past, as well as a variety of wood skids and boards. Managed to get it to move a few feet, but just couldn't get the front tires up out of the mud. I was ready to pull the trigger on the $200 name brand traction boards, but decided to try these first. Initially they didn't accomplish much. The rear would just drag them through the ground and the tires would spit them out the other side. The worst corner just completely buried the board in the mud, almost folding it up in half. Applied some more cat litter around the tires, and repositioned the boards. After a second or 2 of spinning on the boards, the truck finally lurched itself out of the mud and onto drier ground. So they do work, but as with anything there is a bit of a leaning curve to figure out how to use them. A few of the pegs on the boards were broken/melted off, so long term durability, especially on a heavy super duty truck might be an issue. But they work, and at less than half the price of the name brand ones. They also work great to provide traction and protect the yard when I use them to help load my golf cart up the ramp into my toy hauler, and also to help get said toy hauler tires up on to the leveling boards. Overall I consider them worth it, just keep an eye on the pegs if you out them througha lot of spinning and/or heavy use.

I picked up a set before a weekend trip with friends, and they paid for themselves almost immediately. Got bogged down in some deep sand, tossed the boards under the tires, and we were out in minutes. No digging, no winching, just straight-up grip when and where I needed it. The boards feel incredibly sturdy. They’ve handled everything from sand to snow to slick mud without cracking or warping. They’re lightweight, easy to mount on my roof rack, and don’t take up much space. Honestly, whether you're overlanding, beach cruising, or exploring backcountry trails, traction boards are a no-brainer. They're cheap insurance when things get sketchy and they work. Highly recommend for any serious off-roader or weekend adventurer!
