I really loved and appreciated this little gem of a book. Its beauty and simplicity helped me realize on my worst of days I can still lift my heart and mind to prayer and on those days I have the luxury of time I can take this devotion deeper and open my heart and soul to the wonders of Christ’s life and his amazing Mother who journeyed with him along the way. I can honestly say this book has something for everyone and is different from other books I have read on the rosary. Each chapter addressed a concern or gave relevant information to help me take this devotion to a higher level. I really enjoyed the study questions at the end of each chapter too. I could take as long or as little time contemplating them and they helped review and address any thoughts I had on this prayer. It delved deeply, but uniquely into each of the mysteries and at the end of the book Edward Sri provides a Scriptural Rosary for deeper meditation that can be said at home, in church or at Adoration perhaps. All in all it was a wealth of beautiful information that did nor overwhelm, but enhanced my knowledge and desire to continue this practice. Praying The Rosary Like Never Before is worth the time and effort for every person who has an occasional devotion or a daily devotion in order to enhance and encourage knowledge of this beautiful prayer. It is meant to bring those who say the rosary to a higher and more consistent level of prayer and contemplation. It gives advice on how to fit a daily rosary into a hectic schedule and how to maximize the beauty of this prayer for those who are seasoned veterans. It is a book that will be cherished and savored and referred to again and again. It would make a great gift for a friend or family member who wants to learn more about the rosary or increase their knowledge and love for this beautiful devotion to Mary and her Son. This book is an excellent guide to the rosary-- especially for beginning and intermediate devotees. It also has some truly wonderful nuggets for those who are well-versed in this prayerful devotion--in particular as regards the "new" Luminous Mysteries. Of particular assistance for those who either are new to this christocentric prayer (and those who find the rosary daunting), is the permission/confirmation it gives to pray it in new and different ways than experienced corporately at funeral rosary-- which, in my youth was the least meaningful experience of this prayer (because of the lack of expressed meditational material and the rapid, lifeless recitation...ugh). Upon discovering rosary meditations as a young adult, the Rosary took on new life and a richness and depth I never could have imagined as a youngster. The Rosary will change your life, not just your spiritual life (for the two are inseparable). Dr. Sri provides a wonderful vehicle to carry the reader to new, profound heights of contemplation. On a final note, one, personal Rosary expression, that I engage in occasionally, is drawing from Scripture my own, alternative mysteries for meditation such as Jesus's miracles of physical healing or forgiveness (e.g. healing the blind man=> "Jesus, open my eyes so that I may see you more clearly...Hail Mary" "Jesus use the mud in my life to help me see myself/others/this situation as you see them...Hail Mary," etc.). Scripture provides an endless source of Mysteries to contemplate, to plumb, through the Rosary with Mary as your guide. Praise God for the Rosary and our Holy Mother! Mary, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

This was my first book from Edward Sri I read. Yesterday I finished his other book Walking With Mary! In the book Praying The Rosary Like Never Before, Edward explains the importance of the rosary. He also explains how praying the Hail Mary isn’t worshiping her and how it’s a Jesus centered prayer, and has the decades and explains why they’re important and can be applied to our lives. What’s also neat is it has study questions at the end of each chapter so this book would be great for anyone in a Catholic Bible Study Group or anyone in RCIA. I came into the church this past Easter and while I was in RCIA I wish the RCIA teacher focused on certain subjects a little more and I think him having us read this book could have helped a lot.

Once I started reading, I could not stop till the end ! A most engrossing view of the Rosary mysteries, refreshing, and a boost to the faith. Will most likely go through it again, highly recommended to all Catholics and Christians.

This book is exactly what I was looking for: a thorough and scholarly explanation of each of the mysteries, with complete Biblical references. The commentary on each mystery is superb and downright inspiring. Thank you to the author for putting so much work into the explanations./insights. The book is perfect for a study group -- the price of the book is my only hesitation, but it's only fair that the work that goes into creating a thorough scholarly work be supported.

Edward Sri is one of my favorite Catholic authors. His way of being so substantively concise is accessible, eye-opening, and empowering. I recommend all of his books. This book in invaluable to anyone seeking to learn or teach about the Rosary, Mary, and the Christocentricity of both. His inclusion of St. John Paul II gives context to our times and the real implications of praying the Rosary. The biblical reflections on the mysteries of the Rosary are wonderful, taking the reader to a deeper understanding of their meaning in the context of the whole of Scripture, which challenging reflections as to how we apply what they invite us to in our lives. This book also introduced me to the Scriptural Rosary, which has become one of the varied ways I pray the Rosary.

What a Fantastic reading! Indeed praying the Rosary is the same as using a weapon against sin. Dr Edward Sri wrote an easy and fun book. He explains the misteries I could not imagine it is so centred in Jesus.

This is a great book for people who have said the rosary for a while and want to deepen it or simply reflect on it differently. I love it.

I originally purchased this book because I wanted to know how to pray a single decade of the rosary. Whilst the book does say a little about this it didn't really give me an account of exactly how to do it. I needed to look for this elsewhere. That said the way it describes elements of the rosary especially the mysteries is amazing!. I came away from the book having a much better understanding of what each mystery was about. Simply because they are explained in very clear English. This would be a great book to give a protestant who argued about the validity of the rosary prayers. It explains where the hail Mary comes from in the bible and exactly why it's ok to repeat it. I really enjoyed this highly informative book.

There are so many books on the rosary ....far too many. I've bought many of them. But Praying the Rosary Like Never Before is the best I've come across. It will make you understand why the rosary isn't just a mindless repetition of Hail Marys etc It's a true biblical prayer that goes deep in the the life of Mary and Jesus. The author also explains that even though Mary's name is said over and over she is not usurping the divinity of Jesus.

Good quality but the string cannot be adjusted, unlike the last batch I bought from the same seller.
