These are beautiful black beans. They are small and cook up nice and soft. They are also very clean. This is the 2nd time we've ordered and we will continue to buy them. Thank you for providing such a beautiful food product.

As many others noted, these beans are hard after hours of cooking. I thought I was doing something wrong at first, using a new InstaPot pressure cooker. No. After 40 min at high, then a natural release, inedible. I hate throwing food out, so tried on the stovetop one last time. Brought to boil then simmered. And simmered. And simmered. After about 5, actually almost 6 hours: hard and not worth eating. The cooked almost as hard as the raw. Waste of money. Into the compost pile and not buy from this vendor again.

These beans are a staple in my house. Every few days we cook up 3 cups of beans overnight in the crockpot. SO easy, plus beans are a great way to get your protein when combined with a grain such as corn tortillas, rice, etc. To top it off, these are organic! Fabulous!

Whenever I soak my beans, I see tiny little black critters (aphids?) trying to swim their way out of the pot. Does anyone have suggestions how to store black beans organically so these critters die/do not develop? Obviously the seller doesn't know.

There are many brands of black beans but quality is important because you are eating beans instead of white rice which may not be healthy for diabetes. So, for that reason the beans I choose better be high in quality to get the most of it.

To be fair, I didn’t actually eat these (used for a sensory table for preschool) but they were packaged great and seemed high quality.
