Very Good Camera for the Price
This trail camera was easy to set up. Very clear menu system. I would like to see two straps included instead of just one. It would hold the camera much better. But what really surprised me was the camera itself. I bought this cheaply at $29. I just needed something to identify what was crawling under my front porch every day and night. I didn't really care if the quality was subpar. I just didn't want to spend a lot of money for the purpose of identifying one animal. To my surprise, the quality of the camera was excellent. Very clear pictures. Even the video was HD and extremely clear. I am very happy with the performance of this camera. I think I would have been happy with this camera even at twice the price.

Vendor tried to bribe me twice. Motion detection does not work with different sizes of animals.
UPDATE 2023-02-04 Vikeri's 2nd attempt to bribe me for a better review with increased amount. Amazon doesn't seem to care. INITIAL REVIEW TL;DR => The biggest ding comes from the sensors. They do not allow to target smaller and larger animals at the same time, since the motion sensor field of view is VERY narrow vertically. Sensors As expected it triggers on moving IR radiators only. That's mostly animal/human bodies. But also includes light bulbs, objects that are hot or even anything that moves around in front of a warm body, blocking part of it. What is very handy is that in Test mode the camera flashes a green LED if the front facing sensor triggers and a red LED if one of the side facing sensors trigger. Allows you to test what it triggers on. Unfortunately the field of view of the sensors is VERY narrow vertically, meaning it only triggers on animals that are at least as high as the camera is placed => if you want to catch smaller animals you need to lower the camera otherwise they will walk under the sensor unseen. Of course when you lower the camera you might only see the legs of a larger animal. Pointing the camera downward only results in triggering in a limited area in front of the camera. The horizontal field of view per sensor is better and there are 3 sensors spread out to get to the 120 degree FOV that is claimed. Trigger speed is indeed fast. Definitely less than 1s. And that was tested on the center sensor. IR illuminator This unit uses NO-Glow IR LEDs at 940nm. 940nm is completely invisible to the human eye, as opposed to the normally used 850nm, but the camera sensitivity is half as good. Power Noticed my night time videos had been reduced to 2s, while the video time setting was 40s. The daytime videos were the correct 40s. This seems to be due to my batteries having gone down to a 1/3 (was only using 4). => if you're videos are shorter than expected, check your batteries. You can add a second set of 4 to extend run time. Measured current usage. Less than 1mA while in standby => this is how it gets its long maximum standby time. But if it takes regular long videos, that cuts down on standby time fast. ~230mA in full day light. 850mA in dark garage. That means it controls the IR power output such that the image received has sufficient exposure without having to raise shutter time and not wasting power by always blasting IR full tilt. That way it uses less power when there are objects close by or there is some external light from moon or other lights. Unexpected, but very nice. Wished the DC power socket was a larger size, since that is more common for higher currents. UI Seemed fine. Some settings are a tad confusing, but you can quickly figure it out. Temperature measurement is a nice feature, but it reports ~6F lower than actual. Tested with thermometer sitting next to it for hours. Video Colors are fine, but noisy during daylight. Can get 4K, but @ only 10FPS. Doesn't really look like 4K resolution compared to other cheap 4k camera, but not bad. See attached screenshots of the videos. You can get higher frame rates by reducing resolution. 40s takes about ~200MB. Seems they use MJPEG codec. Misc Nicely built. Feels sturdy. Couldn't find newer FW on their website. Only 2 products listed.

Works great for me
I purchased this after I tried several in home security cameras that will not hold wi-fi - kept losing connection; so tired of ordering and having to return these cameras so I decided to purchase this trail cam for in my home; since it works on batteries I don't lose connection. So one of my four dogs keeps pooping in the middle of the time on my carpet - I don't know who it is so purchased this to find out. Arrived yesterday so used it last night - guess they figured out I could catch one of them so they decided last night not to have an accident so still don't know but checked it this morning and it did catch me getting up in the middle of the night; clarity was great. Easy connection, great picture quality, easy to use and it's portable - as stated I've only had 1 day but so far I'm happy with it. Just pull out your SD Card, plug it into your computer and all your pictures and videos pop up. I may be ordering more for other parts of the house

Trail camera
I wanted to get a trail camera to try and capture a picture/video of a black bear that we had coming through our yard and going after some bird feeders. I got this set up and yep, got a nice video of a bear walking around our shed about midnight one time. It was nice to be able to see that it was a single bear and not a mother with cubs that I certainly didn't want to surprise. Also, I had filled the bird feeders with bird seed treated with hot pepper and it was funny watching the bear put his nose up to the feeder and then pull away. I've been using hot pepper treated bird seed every since and we haven't had any sign of the bear again. They've been sighted all around other parts of town but I guess the word is out that this house is off limits.

FUNCTION VS QUALITY
I gave this camera a 3-star rating based on functionality and image quality. Functionality is good, easy to setup with all the features needed on a non-Wifi game camera. Has successfully withstood several rainstorms without any leakage. The detection distance features seem good, although I haven't tested them per the specification given. However, my primary objective for this purchase was image quality, both day and night. IMHO the sample images related to this product are highly deceptive and misleading. You'll never get the image or video quality advertised and its claim to be 4K seems questionable. Nevertheless, if you're only interested in the detection and identification of visitors, this camera will definitely fill your needs. Actual sample images are provided with image quality settings set to their highest levels. Notice the images are highly pixelated and/or blurry.
