Beautiful sound
What a great delay pedal. Amazing as always from Strymon.

Great effect for Analog Synths
Strymon El Capistan brings an almost 3-dimensional depth and authentic vintage sound to my Prophet 10. Combined with the Strymon DECO, these effects really elevate the sound and makes an already great synth come alive. This combo is a worthy add-on investment.

Best delay device since the Echoplex!
I think Strymon nailed it. It's as close sounding to my old Echoplex as I've ever heard. I'm stoked!

Generic sounding delay
Sounds cheap. Never liked the tape sounds of Strymon. The Brige delay tones are a world of difference better.

Didn't work!
Unfortunately I got to defective pedal. Plugged in powered it up and no effect. Adjusting the mix knob caused a severe high pitch sound. I sent it back, hopefully getting my refund soon.

I bought this to replace my Eventide H9 as I noticed the H9 was having a big negative impact on the thru signal when engaged ( and yes I used all modes). The El Capistan sounds much better and doesn't choke your base tone - I play clean ( blues, jazz, rock, soul etc) and it's really a great pedal to keep fidelity in your amp. Gonna miss the other functionality of the H9, but as far as delay this is a step up.

Strymon are one of the best pedals. Unfortunately I did not bond with this one and returned it. For someone else this may be their magic.
